Pushing me into the locker rooms, Gina dragged me over to the far wall, Opening two lockers, her pointer finger directing my sight towards the one nearest to me.
"Your stuff can go in there. That way you don't have to lug it around everywhere or leave it on the dirty ground," She explained, causing me to let out a short giggle.
" I know how a locker room works Gina," Taking off my school jacket and dress shirt, I felt a soft stare coming from the other girls in the locker room. My body tensed up slightly as I remembered the scar that ran down from the center of my back and curved around to my hip. Quickly I placed on the black tank top and switched out my skirt for the gym pants. Shoving the discarded clothing items in the locker. Quietly closing the metal door, I took my gym jacket walking out while placing the article on, before making my way to the bus.
Walking down the empty halls, I heard the door to the locker room slide open and close quickly. Rapid footsteps following soon after.
"Y/n! Wait up!" Hearing Gina's voice, I slowed to a stop, Gina's hand resting on my shoulder giving me a slightly worried look. "Are you good? What happened in there?"
"It was nothing, I just don't like public changing rooms is all," I explained, continuing my way out of the school, Gina close behind me.
"Was it because of your scar?" Her tone was low as if she were afraid I would be angry with her if she said the wrong thing. I kept quiet, looking to the side gingerly. "If it was, no one was looking. I checked. I know how you feel about it...Maybe they glanced at it, but only for a second!" Gina's attempt to cheer me up was beginning to work as her arms animated themselves as she waved them back and forth in a rapid motion.
Giving the girl a small smile, she visually seemed to relax. "OH! Before I forget to tell you, you didn't really miss much of anything so far. All we did is a quirk assessment test, Which you might have to do when we get back from the USJ trip! And then we did this game where there were two villains and two heroes and the heroes had to touch the bomb or trap the villains in a certain time period to win. Hmm...What else,"
"Everyone please board the bus in an orderly fashion!" A boy with glasses called over the chatter. His voice seeming to spark a lightbulb above Gina's head.
"Yeah, Iida and Momo are our class presidents so if you need anything when I'm not around just ask them," With that said, Gina boarded the bus, my form following behind.
"Nooooo It's one of these types of buses! It messes up my whole plan!" Iida complained as Gina sat across the aisle from a girl with earphone jacks attached to her ears, and a spiky-haired boy with bombs on his forearms.
"Oh, Y/n sit next to Todoroki! I'm sure he wouldn't mind! Would you Todoroki?" Raising an eyebrow, I watched as Gina talked with the peppermint boy from earlier.
"No, I don't particularly mind," He spoke, leaning his head back against the bus seat. Carefully I sat next to the dueled haired boy careful not to wake his already passed out form.
"Amazing," I mumbled, gazing at his almost surreal face.
"Well If you're talking about flashy and strong, It's gotta be Todoroki, Bakugou, and Gina,"
"Heh? Kirishima, What about Y/n?" Gina jumped into the conversation. My mind completely doing backflips trying to comprehend what was going on.
"Well, we haven't exactly seen or heard anything about her quirk to consider it to be flashy or strong," Frog girl spoke, her words opting me to speak.
"Um, I have a fire quirk,"
"Heh Sorry about that L/n, So Todoroki, Bakugou, Gina, and L/n all have strong quirks," Kirishima corrected himself, though I didn't really mind at the time.
"Bakugou's always mad, so he doesn't seem like he'd be popular though," Frog girl spoke up once more, her 'says what's on her mind' habit showing promptly.
I jumped slightly in my seat, as Bakugou shot up from his spot. My elbow bumping into the boy next to me, causing his bright cerulean eye to open slightly.
"Oh, sorry Todoroki, Heh," I apologized, his response only being a small nod before he went back to his original position.
"What the hell! You wanna fight!" Bakugou yelled out, his body damn near over the railing.
"See?" Frog girl spoke, causing Gina to try and muffle a small chuckle.
A new voice spoke, this one belonging to a boy with bright yellow locks of hair adorned with a black lightning bolt, "We haven't known you for that long. So it's amazing that everyone already knows his personality is crap steeped in sewage."
The comment seemed to make Bakugou even more tempered as he directed his physical frustration to the safety pole in his grip, his knuckles white from the action. Gina, on the other hand, busted out into a fit of giggles, her hand trying to quiet the action by covering her mouth.
"What's with that vocabulary bastard!? I'll kill you!"
"Quiet down, we're here," Aizawa cut off al the small talk, as everyone went to get off the bus.
"Uh Todoroki, we have to get off the bu- Oh," Turning to wake Todoroki I noticed he was already up, waiting for me to get out of my seat. "You're already up, never mind then," Giving an apologetic smile, I took my leave, Todoroki staying put for some reason.
Stopping at the exit of the bus, I turned back to the boy, his eyes seeming to stare me down, making me feel somewhat self-conscious. "What are you waiting for? "
He stayed silent for a moment before standing from his seat and following behind me.
"Nothing, just thinking," Was his only response, as we entered the USJ building the sight of it being a bit overwhelming. Walking to the back of the group a well-known rescue hearo, Thirteen was just finishing up what seemed to be a speech.
"Your powers are not meant to inflict harm. I hope you leave here today with the understanding that you're meant to help people." The hero gave a bow, continuing, "That's all I have to say, thank you for listening,"
"All right then," Aizawa began, his pointer finger gesturing towards the many different areas, "First-"
Suddenly there was a loud pop-like hum, the lights to the building dimming off, a small chill ran up my spine as a sinking feeling entered my gut.
Not long after did a dark portal like sphere began to form in front of the fountain in the center of the plaza. The ball instantly turned into a scary looking boogie man like creature, creating even larger portal than before.
"Gather together and don't move!" Aizawa yelled, the urgency in his voice more than unsettling, "Thirteen, protect the students!"
My eyes couldn't look away from the portal, my body stiffened at the sight of a hand coming through the portal, Kirishima the one to point it out; "What's that?"
Whatever or whoever they were... I knew we all wouldn't come out of this unscathed.
