-Y/n's POV-
"I'm sorry," Shoto murmured, his eyes entranced by my hands as I wrap up the small burn I had gotten on my hand from the night before. "I didn't even realize..."
Glancing towards him, the frown on his face made my heartache, my free hand reaching towards his face, caressing it gently, "It's okay, Sho. I'm not mad, it was an accident," Rubbing my thumb gently crossed his scarred cheek, I smiled at him softly.
Pulling my hand away to finish wrapping my hand, I spoke, failing to notice the bright light of embarrassment that covered Shoto's face and ears, "Besides, it didn't start hurting until this morning anyway. I'll just stop by Recovery Girl's office before class,"
Humming in acknowledgment, Todoroki's face went blank, staring off into the distance as he began to think to himself.
Ever since last night, he's been rather distant. Which is reasonable considering he's still waiting on a phone call concerning Endeavor's condition.
Looking towards the clock, I reminded myself that I had to leave soon, or else Mikoto would be late for school. Feeling slightly anxious, I turned back to the heterochromia-eyed boy, "Hey... um. Did you still want to come with to drop off Mikoto?"
Seeing him look back up towards me with a curious gaze, I shook my hands, "If you don't want to, that's fine. I'd understand-"
"Why would I not go?" He questioned.
" it's just.." Scratching the back of my neck, I looked away sheepishly, "I wasn't sure if you'd want to do a lot today considering... your dad and all," Picking at my nails, I shrugged gently, "Last night. It really upset you... so much that, you wanted to sleep in your own dorm for the night," I let out an embarrassed laugh, "It felt kind of weird not having you here."
For a moment, the room went quiet, my eyes refusing to look back towards the boy sitting beside me, the burning in my cheeks getting progressively worst as the silence continued between us.
"Yeah," Shoto spoke, "It, it felt strange to me too"
Feeling his cool hand rest gently against my knee, my eyes finally gained the courage to look up at him, his soft, reminiscing smile shining brightly at me as my chest suddenly felt burdened with countless butterflies. The way his eyes looked towards me with a genuine gleam made the tips of my fingers feel light and fuzzy.
"Are we leaving yet?"
Hearing Mikoto's voice, I jumped, a nervous laugh escaping my lips as I reached for my uniform jacket, "Y-yeah, we can go now,"
Rushing the two out of my room and out of the dorms, the three of us quickly made it to the train station in time for it to arrive.
Sitting onto one of the few empty seats, Mikoto had climbed his way into my lap, already preparing himself for his morning train ride nap. Shoto sitting beside me, hands resting on his lap as he watched the rest of the passengers file inside.
