-Y/n's POV-
"Now grab what you need. It's a long trip to the hospital from here by train, and we're probably gonna be there for a while," I yawned, opening my doorn room watching Mikoto run inside happily, his palms grabbing his bag tightly as he shoved varios crayons and activity books within it.
Looking over to my desk, I lazily pocketed the cash I had laying around inside my school bag, not really bothering to change from my school uniform. Listening to Mikoto's feet run out of my room and down the hall, I quickly jotted down an idea I had for my power move, and a small alteration for my "Bionic Hand", following after the horned boy as I reread over the note.
"Mikoto! We have to stop by the school again before we leave," I called out, not exactly sure where he was at the moment. Jogging down the stairs, I immediately took notice of Mikoto's rather loud laughter, my attention going straight towards him and Denki as Mikoto mimicked Denki's 'dumb' dance around the common area.
"I'm not even gonna ask how he got that way," I dead panned, Kirishima laughing at my statement as he watched from the couch. "Come on Mikoto, we're leaving," Reaching out my hand for the boy to grab, Kirishima gave me a questioning look.
"Where are you going?"
Being dragged to the door by Mikoto himself, I gave an apologetic smile to the red headed student, planting my feet as we got to the front door.
"We're gonna go visit my Grandmother, and maybe pick up a few things from my house, we should be back later tonight though," I explained, yelping out as Mikoto headbutted me out the front door, harshly, closing the door behind me before he ran up ahead.
"Mikoto! I was in the middle of a conversation!" I scolded, rubbing my, now, aching back.
~~~
Sitting in the rather uncomfortable hospital chair, I shifted in my seat, the harsh lighting of the desk lamp giving me a slight migraine as I worked on my English homework from Present Mic. Looking over to the bed next to me, I watched as the mask that covered my Grandmother's, once clear, mask fog up, only to repeat the cycle.
Hearing a light snore from beneath my feet, I felt my foot tap Mikoto's sleeping form, his crayons sprawled out on the floor, as he rested his head against his activities book, a half colored page showing itself off to the world.
"Sorry we couldn't show up sooner," I whispered, bringing my leg up to my chest, as I surveyed the dimly lit room, the night sky lighting up the room slightly, as I examined my Grandmother's unconscious body. "A lot has been happening lately," Letting out a huff of air, I felt my eyes begin to sting, as the room grew silent.
Laughing sadly, I continued talking. No one there to listen, "That's not even an excuse though, is it? In reality... I had a handful of chances to visit you. Hell, I probably could have stopped by the day it happened," Staring blankly as her chest raised and fell, I rested my chin on my knee.
"God I suck. In all honesty Grandma, I didn't wanna come here at all," Looking off to the side, I sucked in a shaky breath, "I was afraid that if I did... Then this would really had happened, that you are this close to leaving me and Mikoto behind," Choking out a quiet sob, I covered my mouth with the palm of my hand, "Maybe... Maybe if I was there this wouldn't have happened, Maybe you'd still be awake, and taking care of Mikoto...or maybe I could take your place," Shaking my head, I wiped off the tears that rolled down my cheeks, trying to think of another conversation topic.
