Kimberly's POV-

I help Logan get her suitcase in the car. She's driving all the way to New York. Her parents and I tried to convince her to just take a plane there, but she insisted on driving.

It's a 10 hour drive at least. She probably won't even get there until almost midnight.

But I'm not going to argue with her about it anymore. She can do whatever she wants.

"Are you sure you'll be fine?" I ask her once again. She closes the trunk and turns around to face me. She gives me a reassuring smile and nods.

"Yeah. I'll be fine. Emily is still up there in her apartment building. She's coming back tomorrow night. I'm going to her place once I get to New York. So everything will be fine. Stop worrying." she tells me. I pout.

"Just be safe, ok?" she smiles and wraps her arms around me.

"Yeah. I promise I'll be fine." she reassures me.

"Promise you'll call every day or at least text?" I ask her.

I know I probably sound clingy. But I'm already missing her and she hasn't even left yet. Lord knows how it's going to be with her gone.

It was a fun summer. For the whole month of June, Logan took me out almost every night to do something different. We drove up to Up North for a week and saw many things up there.

We went out on many dates together and spent the night with one another. We even spent a lot of time with her family.

I went home in July to spend time with my family. It was really nice to see them. They're actually thinking about moving here to be closer to Emma and me, which sounds nice. We won't have to travel back and forth just to see each other. We could just drive roughly 10-20 minutes and we're at each other's footsteps.

Now. It's the day Logan's leaving. She spent the past week packing her things that she'll need in New York. She's still planning on going into chemistry, but she's rethinking it now.

But nothing is set in stone.

"Yeah. Of course. I wouldn't even dream of not hearing your voice or anything." she responds. I smile and hold onto her even tighter.

"I'll call..."

"...text..."

"...message..."

"...snap..."

All of that was just a bunch of lies.

"Ok. Class will be dismissed shortly. Please, if you haven't already turned in your assignment, I suggest you do so so you don't have any homework tonight." I tell my students.

It's been a while since Logan left for New York.

Actually.

It's been almost 3 years since she originally left.

A lot has happened and changed during her time away. For starters, she kept on making excuses every time I tried to call her. I've left about a million voicemails that she probably didn't even look at. And a million text messages that she probably hasn't even checked.

But whatever.

That was how she wanted to act. I can do the same.

I know I probably sound childish to be saying stuff like this. But I'm just sick of her lies.
