Kimberly's POV-

"And then he said 'Ellie, I love you with all my heart. And I always will. I can't imagine going through a single day without you in it.' and THEN-"

"He said 'will you marry me'?" I finish for her. Ellie jumps in surprise.

"How did you know!?" she asks me curiously. I roll my eyes.

"You literally told me about how he proposed like five times already." I tell her as I laugh.

"Really? Five times already? Well whatever. I'm just so excited!" she says as she gets up from my bed and jumps around. I laugh.

Jack took some more time to mentally prepare himself to propose to Ellie. But when he did, she immediately said yes and forgot all about him being so distant for the past couple of weeks. Since then, Ellie's been going on and on about their engagement.

I'm happy for her. I truly am. But hearing the same story over and over again...is getting to be a little much. But I love her anyway and seeing her so happy is nice. Especially since she's a bride to be now.

"Isn't my ring just gorgeous?" she asks me for probably the millionth time. I look at her ring again and smile.

"Yup. It's really pretty." I tell her. She sighs in satisfaction as she throws herself onto my bed and looks up at my ceiling.

"Life's good." she tells me. I nod at that.

"Indeed it is. Indeed it is." I tell her.

"So...not to sound all selfish or anything...but I'm hungry, what do you have to eat?" she asks me. I laugh and shake my head at her usual behavior.

"Well. Actually, I don't have much. I need to go shopping at some point. I've just been so tired and achy lately that I just don't even want to get out of bed," I start off. She slowly nods before she sits up and moves closer so she can put her hand on my forehead.

"Well, it doesn't seem like you have a fever or anything, so at least you're not sick." she tells me jokingly. I playfully roll my eyes and nudge her shoulder with mine.

"Thanks for looking out after me, mom." I tell her. She laughs before she gets up.

"I think I'm in the mood for some chinese food. How does that sound to you?" she asks me. I nod my head immediately.

"That sounds great, actually." I tell her.

"Then...how about a movie date with yours truly. I'll order some chinese food and you go down to pick a movie. And we'll just eat and chat and such." she suggests. I nod my head and stand up as well.

"That sounds good to me."

Ellie quickly heads downstairs, probably to call for some take out. I make my way downstairs as well and head towards the den to scroll through to see what movies I would want to watch. I'm kind of in the mood for a comedy. A good laugh sounds really nice.

Moments later, Ellie comes waltzing into the den and sits down next to me.

"What we watching?" she asks me. I shrug my shoulders.

"I know it sounds lame, but wanna watch Lez Bomb?" I ask her. She raises her eyebrow at me before she bursts into laughter.

"That sounds so dumb...but sure...let's go." she says. I smile and start the movie after I rent it.

From the description, it's about a lesbian couple on thanksgiving. One of them isn't out to her parents yet and she invited her girlfriend over for thanksgiving with her parents and she'll come out at some point then. But things are supposedly going to keep getting in the way.
