Logan's POV-

"Logan! Wake up!" I hear a small say. Seconds later, something heavy throws themselves on top of me, and completely knocks the air out of my lungs. I immediately gasp for air as I open my eyes and search for who was so rude to do such a thing.

Interrupting my sleep.

That's rude.

My eyes land on the familiar features of a seven year old girl. Brown hair and hazel eyes, with the most adorable smile  a kid could possess on this entire planet. She giggles when she sees my helpless and useless reaction from getting the wind knocked out of me. I try not to roll my eyes at her and instead, sit up.

"You know, you're getting heavy." I tell her as I pat her head. She sends a quick glare at me and pouts.

"Are you calling me fat?" she interrogates me.

I can't help but to burst out into laughter. I can't believe a seven year old is really asking me that. At her age, her weight shouldn't even be bothering her at all.

I shake my head and lean towards her to cup her little face in my hands. Her glare slowly fades and is replaced with a smile at the small form on contact I'm giving her.

"Nonsense. I'm just saying that you're growing up, that's all. You're no longer a little baby." I tell her. She playfully rolls her eyes and pushes me away from her. I end up lying back down on my back due to the impact. She plops herself right next to me.

"Of course I'm not a little baby anymore. I'm 7 now. I can use a real pair of scissors, a knife, and can even go across the monkey bars all by myself!" she says with so much excitement.

"Will can't even go across the monkey bars by myself yet. He's scared that he's gonna fall off so he always has dad spot him." she adds on as she continues to roast her younger twin. I shake my head and laugh.

"Anyway...what brings you by on this lovely morning?" I ask her.

She smiles and sits up. She hops off of the bed and runs over to the edge and grabs my hand. She yanks me with so much force for a little seven year old that I automatically sit up as well. She doesn't stop there. She continues to pull on my arm and eventually, I stand up as well.

"Breakfast is ready! And I helped mom and aunt Susan cook!" she says with so much excitement.

I will never understand how kids can have this much energy bright and early in the morning. They get up at around 8 ish, or earlier than that, and are ready to go. Running around and having so much energy. I don't have THAT much energy when I wake up, that's for sure. I used to, but alas. I don't anymore.

"That's great! Lead me to the food!" I tell her. She laughs and lets go of my arm and runs out of the room. I shake my head as I walk out and close the door behind me.

Moments later, I'm walking into the big kitchen where mom, Rachel, and James are setting the table. There's enough seats and plates for everyone to sit down comfortably and eat in peace.

They eventually call everyone to the table to eat and we all sit down. As soon as everyone is sitting down at the table, we waste no further time into digging into the food thats on the table. Eggs, bacon, waffles, pancakes, sausage, potato pancakes...oh man. It looks so good and tastes just as amazing as they appear.

"Ok. So. We all know the drill. We need to be at the country club at 5. Until then, we don't really have that much to do." Rachel announces to the family. We all simply nod our heads at her words.

"Do we have to dress up in fancy clothes for this?" Will asks before he stuffs a waffle into his mouth. Rachel nods.

"Yes. It's the same as every year. It's a formal occasion." James adds. Will pouts.
