Logan's POV-
Holy.
Shit.
There's just no way I'm ready for this. I've had all day to get it under control and to not worry about it. But what am I doing now? Worrying about it so much that it's nearly driving me insane. There's just an endless amount of outcomes that could happen and I'm not really to see what does happen.
Today is Jenny's birthday. I just got off work and I'm driving back to the house. Jenny insisted on throwing yet another party so that's what we're doing. She's lucky that it's nice out today. Otherwise, I doubt that roughly 30 different teenagers would be able to fit in our house all at once.
Since her birthday is during the summer, and since we recently got ourselves a pool in our backyard, she's having a little pool party. She convinced mom and dad to go out tonight because she wants "freedom" for a night or something like that. So really, Emily and I will be supervising this thing.
I groan as I pull up onto our block and just about everywhere within a five house with span on both sides of our house, has cars parked along the street and across the street.
Great.
Now I need to park further away. But this is all for Jenny so I shouldn't really complain that much I suppose.
I quickly turn around in a nearby driveway and park in front of a house a few houses down the street. I hop on out and rush to the back and get Jenny's gift. It's nothing big but it was expensive as fuck. So I'm praying that she likes it.
I sigh as I walk back to the house and walk in from the front door. The sound of music fills my ears and I weave my way through some people just so I can get up the stairs and head to my room.
"Jesus, there's no many people here already." I mumble to myself as I make my way towards my bed. I throw myself onto my mattress and get lost in the comfortableness that is my bed.
But.
Alas.
If I don't show up at her party and celebrate with her for a while, she'll probably be upset. And I probably should help Emily look out after all these teenagers before they burn down the house or the cops end up coming here because of noise complaints.
I roll myself up from my bed and grab Jenny's gift again and head back down the stairs. I weave myself through more teenagers as I make my way towards the kitchen to find Emily sitting at the table with a drink in her hands.
"It's about time you showed up." she jokes around as she tosses me a water bottle. I roll my eyes at her comment and sit down next to her.
"It wasn't my fault. I only JUST got home from work. And...don't you think there's already too many people in this house? Even if like half of them are already outside in the pool?" I ask Emily. She shrugs.
"Not sure. This is Jenny we're talking about. She might be expecting more people to show up. And even though her invites said that gifts were not necessary, a few people decided to give her a gift anyway." Emily tells me. I slowly nod.
"Did she already open them or...?" I ask as I run my hands down my face. Emily laughs.
"Yeah, she opened them." Emily tells me as she gets up from the chair. I raise my eyebrow at her.
"Where are you going?" I ask her. She shrugs.
"Outside. I wasn't really planning on having anyone in the house during this thing. So I should probably chase everyone out into the backyard." she says as she walks out of the kitchen.
