"Mommy! Wake up! We're gonna be late!" Chloe shouts as she pounces on my back. I hold in my groans as I roll on over, causing her to laugh as she rolls on over as well.

"What is it Chloe?" I ask her.

"Remember? I'm going out with nana and papa today," she tells me.

I literally just lie there, in my bed, staring at the ceiling as I process her words. I hear her laugh a little as I continue to think about it, not knowing what on Earth she's talking about.

Oh wait.

Yeah, that's right.

"Oh yeah, you're right. What time is it baby?" I ask her. She shrugs as she climbs over me to grab my phone from the nightstand. I hold in my temptation to start tickling her.

It's difficult.

"8:18." she tells me.

"8:18? Why didn't you wake me up sooner?" I ask her as I hop out of bed and head to my closet to start pulling out random clothes to wear. She shrugs.

"I tried. But you were snoring again," she tells me. I gasp as I spin around to look at her with my mouth hanging.

"I do not snore you little stinker..." I tell her as I walk over towards my bed again to tickler her this time. She immediately starts laughing, hard.

"Go get dressed," I tell her as I pull away from her. She shakes her head at me.

"I am dressed."

"Oh yeah, I suppose you're right," is all I can see as I look down to see she is indeed dressed. Which means that I'm technically the one making us late.

Susan and Mason wanted to spend time with Chloe today. Her little soccer thing ended at the YMCA last week and now, we're playing it by ear until she starts another summer activity. The next one will be art related. She and Brit are going to do that one together.

But in any case...

Susan and Mason are taking her for the day. Long story short, Chloe wanted to go to the water park today. But...I kind of don't feel like going swimming...more like I can't right now, if you catch my drift.

If she would've asked in a couple more days or even next week, I would have agreed to take her and suggested to her that she should invite Brit to come along as well.

But.

Kind of can't right now.

Thus. Susan and Mason are taking her.

"Ok, ready to go?" I ask her as we get into the car.

"Yeah. I've been ready," she tells me, teasing me again. I playfully roll my eyes at her behavior.

I have no idea where she got that from. The sarcasticness...teasing...probably got that from her as well.

God. She really is so much like her in little ways. Ways that other people might not notice, but it's definitely noticeable to me.

"Now listen, Chloe...just because I won't be there, you still have to listen to nana and papa ok? Be a good girl and don't go anywhere without them, alright?" I tell her, sternly.

"I know, mommy. I'll be good. I love nana and papa," she says joyfully. It makes me smile.

"Nana! Papa!" she calls out as we pull into their driveway and we see they're on the porch, drinking some coffee.

Coffee.

That sounds and looks good right now.

I should go and get some on my way home.
