Kimberly's POV-

Ugh.

Conferences.

They're so boring and really useless if you ask me. I spend roughly five minutes or more with each parent telling them how great or poor their child is doing in my class. I can't wait until their done. Which, will be soon.

Today's the last day for them.

Thank goodness.

But of course, to make things worse, I had a meeting today. Bright and early in the morning. What kind of school has meetings so early?

I need my sleep.

So, because of the meeting, not only did I have to wake up even earlier, but I also missed out on my usual morning routine with Logan and Chloe. Which, I really missed. I love spending as much time as I can with them in the morning.

I wasn't even able to drop Chloe off at daycare today. Logan had to. Which, again, I don't mind. It's just something I miss.

But it's probably good.

We should really switch more often on who takes her to daycare and such.

I can't hog her all to myself, of course.

"How's my favorite coworker!" Rose says as she bursts through my still empty room. It surprises me and I nearly jump out of my desk chair.

"Tired. Why would Mr. Williams schedule a meeting bright and early in the morning? That's just torture." I complain as I run my hands down my face. Rose just laughs.

"Did you not get any coffee this morning or something?" she asks me as she takes a sip from a starbucks drink that's in her hand. I shake my head.

"I didn't have time. I was going to be late if I made coffee otherwise," I tell her. She only shakes her head.

"Oh Kim, where have you gone wrong. You had it working for you too. A cute little kid and a fiancé who loves and adores you." she says as she continues to shake her head.

"Why didn't you just make Logan go and make you coffee?" she asks me. I shrug my shoulders as I sigh.

"I was in too much of a rush to ask. I can just go and grab some from the lounge room before classes start," I say, mainly to try to convince myself that there might still be hope for me getting my hands on some coffee.

I need to have some caffeine to start my day.

If I don't have it, by noon, I'll be a witch.

Literally.

And I have more conferences today, I don't want to make myself look bad.

"Well, if you want to get some from the lounge room, have at it. But I'd get on with it. It goes by fast and classes are going to start in roughly ten more minutes," she tells me before she leaves my room to head back to her classroom, most likely. I groan again and lean back in my desk chair.

It's going to be a long day.

I can feel it.

After another minute of just staring blankly at my ceiling, I make my way to the lounge room to get some coffee. I literally almost cheer out loud when I find that there's still coffee left and quickly make myself a cup of it.

"Good morning, Ms. Dawson," I hear a student call out to me as I make my way back to my room. I look in their direction and find Brendon smiling at me. I simply smile back.
