Bear with me...I'm trying to update as much as I can.

Logan's POV-
"So...say had to choose between your kid and your fiancé...which one would you live the rest of your life with?" a coworker asks me as she leans her elbows on the surface of my desk. I sigh and as I lean back into my desk chair.
She's on her break right now and what does she love to do while she's on break? Bug me while I'm trying to work.
Just because she's taking her lunch break right now doesn't mean that I'm taking mine. I don't even take mine until noon. It's only 11:25 right now.
"I wouldn't." I simply say as I sit back up. She raises her eyebrow as she pouts.
"You wouldn't what?"
"I wouldn't be able to choose just one of them. If I can't have both of them with me, then what's the point?" I ask her. She sighs and shrugs.
"That's not the point in this question, Logan. The point is that you're supposed to pick one of them. Not both of them." she tries to tell me. I only shake my head.
"Nope. Either it's both of them or no deal. And even then, it wouldn't be right. I need to have both my girls with me," I tell her as I try to refocus on my work that's up on my computer screen.
"Hey. Stop ignoring me. I need attention," Valerie says.
I swear...this girl...
"I hate to sound rude, but I still have plenty of work to get done. You're on your break right? Go hang out in the lounge room," I suggest as kindly as possible. I hear her groan.
"No...why would I do that when I could just stay here with you?" she asks me. I don't even bother looking at her.
"I mean, you're more than welcome to stay, but please don't distract me from my work," I beg. She sighs and shuts up almost immediately afterwards.
I mentally sigh in relief as I get back to work, trying to ignore the clicking sound effects that are coming from her phone along with the little bings that come up every few seconds, probably from her texting and getting replies back.
I nearly jump out of my seat when I feel my phone start vibrating rapidly in my pants pocket. In slight frustration from one distraction to another, I pull out my phone and look to see who's calling me. Instantly, my frustration goes away and it's replaced with absolute happiness as I answer the call.
"Hey babe," I casually say to Kimberly when I answer.
"Hey...can you pick up Chloe after daycare today?" she asks me.
"Uh yeah, sure. I can do that. What's up?" I ask her. She sighs.
"Nothing much, just conferences with parents today. I won't get back until later either. Probably around 6. Think you can handle dinner as well?" she asks me. I nod my head before I respond to her.
"Yeah, I can manage that just fine. Don't stress baby, alright? Just do what you gotta do and I'll get Chloe this afternoon and I'll think of something to make for dinner," I tell her.
"Thank you so much, baby." she tells me in a voice of relief.
I nearly forgot that she had conferences this week. Today is the first night of them. Tomorrow is the second, last, and final day of conferences. She's been working around the clock trying to get her grading done and finalizing everyone's progress report cards.
