{ Set in Sam's apartment}

{Sam's POV}

It was 2:00am. I was currently leaning over my toilet, emptying the contents of my stomach. I hadn't felt right since about eight that night. I woke up at 1am, coated in a thick layer of sweat, but shaking from the cold. My head was banging, sounding like symbols being clashed together at an annoyingly fast rate. My stomach felt like it was on fire, burning, aching and cramping every 5 seconds. I got hit by another sudden wave of nausea and shoved my sweaty head into the toilet. My throat burned, feeling like lava was coating the walls of it. I couldn't help but let a few salty tears fall from my eyes, splashing onto the toilet seat that I was hovering above. I pulled back from the toilet and flushed it. I hated being sick. I shakily rose to my feet, clutching onto my sink and looking into the mirror. My blonde hair was sticking to me from the sweat, I was pale as a ghost (sToP pLaYiNg WiTh DeMoNs SaMuEl, sorry I'll go now) and I had massive black bags under my blue eyes. I attempted to make my way back to my bed, but as soon as I took a step, I got incredibly incredibly dizzy. I clutched my head, my left ear made a popping sound and suddenly all I could hear was ringing, a high pitched ringing sound. I dropped onto my knees, tears flowing down my cheeks like a river. My stomach started churning again, that horrible achy feeling. Saliva started to gather in my mouth. I shuffled to the toilet as fast as I could, and used the strength I had left to stick my head into it. I sobbed harder when I realised all that was coming up was water. I flopped backwards and my back hit the wall. As much as I hated to admit it, I needed someone here with me. I couldn't do this much longer, I was so tired. I shakily grabbed my phone from be counter, and scrolled through my contacts. My girlfriend Katrina was in Sweden recording new music, so I couldn't call her over. My eyes were blurry with tears, and I quickly clicked Colby's contact and held the phone to my ear, my hand shaking from being so cold. After a few moments, he answered.

"What do you want dude? It's like, half two in the morning" he spoke, sounding slightly ticked of.
"Colby," I sobbed.
"Sam? Sam what's wrong? What's happened?!" He suddenly yelled, sounding panicked.
"Can you come over?" I cried.
"Yeah. Yeah course I can, just Sam, calm down dude. Speak to me, tell me what's going on, I'm coming now, stay on the phone," he instructed. I could hear shuffling from the other side of the phone. I heard keys jangling, knowing he'd gotten the spare key I gave him for my apartment for emergency's.
"I don't feel good, I'm in the bathroom, I tried to go back to bed but I got all dizzy," I explained, still crying softly but immediately calmed from the sound of my best friends voice.
"Alright, I'm coming ok. Have you thrown up?" he asked.
"Multiple times" I coughed, my throat burning more at the thought.
"Ok, I'm unlocking your door now ok".
Thank god he only lived next door. I heard him coming through the door, his feet racing through the apartment and into the bathroom. "Oh Sammy" he whispered, chucking his phone onto the counter and gently sitting down against the wall next to me. He slowly put his arm around me, and I leaned into his touch, needing the comfort badly. He rubbed up and down my arm with his thumb. "You'll get sick" I croaked. "I don't care. When did it start" he asked me, looking down at me. I didn't answer his question though. My stomach was churning, the saliva was gathering. I tore myself away from Colby and lurched at the toilet, throwing up as soon as my head was above it. I looked down to see yet more water. Colby came up behind me and rubbed my back. I sobbed loudly, my throat burning. "Hey, Hey, you're ok Sam" Colby spoke gently, as I leaned back into his touch. He flushed the toilet and I flopped back against the wall. He put his hand against my sweaty forehead. "You're burning Sam" he gasped, brushing my hair back from my eyes. "No, I'm cold" I sobbed, loving the warm from his hand against my skin. "Alright buddy. Let's get you to bed, yeah?" He said sympathetically. I shook my head. "I can't Colby" I cried, prying my wrist from his grip as he attempted to pull me up. "You can't stay here, Sam," he chuckeled. I cried harder and he stopped laughing. "Why can't you?" He asked, kneeling down in front of me. "I tried to earlier. I got all dizzy" I explained, loving how concerned he was for me. "How about I help you?" he smiled. I nodded, desperately wanting the comfort of my bed. He grabbed my wrists and pulled me to my feet. I grabbed onto his arms, feeling slightly unsteady. Slowly, and with no sudden movements, he guided me to my room, where he helped me get under the covers. I sunk into the warm sheets, my shivers dying down rapidly. Colby disappeared, and I was too tired to shout to him to see where he went. He came back in with a glass of water and some tablets and he laid them down on my bedside table. "For tomorrow. Just try and get some sleep for now, ok?" he said softly. He turned to go. "Colby wait!" I exclaimed. He turned around. "You want me to stay?" He smiled. I nodded. "Could you maybe, lay with me, I'm still so cold" I said shyly, cowering behind the covers to hide my blush. His grin grew even wider and without hesitation he climbed into bed next to me and wrapped his masculine arms around my shaking frame. I buried my face into his chest, sighing loudly with relief as warmth cascaded through me. I suddenly felt Colby's fingers on my stomach, rubbing circles on the sweaty skin. "I wonder what Katrina would say right now?" Colby joked. I snuggled further into his chest. "I don't care. You're too warm," I said. Colby's chest bounced up and down as he chuckled. I felt his hand go to my damp hair and he ran his fingers through it. He stopped rubbing my stomach. I reached out and grabbed his hand, pulling it back to repeat its earlier movements. "Does that help?" he asked. I nodded. "Thank you colby," I smiled. I felt him kiss the top of my head, my cheeks warming at the small action. "Anytime Sammy." And with that sleep engulfed me.
