Sam Golbach could see ghosts. That's right. Sam, the funny blonde headed Youtuber that everyone loved, could see dead people. How? Sam didn't know. Why? Sam didn't know that either. All he knew was that as soon as he stepped foot in a haunted place, his vision was filled with slightly transparent figures. And he could see them clearly, talk to them as if they were just another person. It was normal for Sam. It's always been normal. And most importantly. It was a secret. His secret. He didn't want anyone to know, people would think he was a freak. He'd become part of some kind of scientific investigation or something. Caged in a lab for the rest of his life, probably ending up being dissected or something like that. However, there was one person who knew. One person who Sam trusted more than anyone else in the world. His best friend Colby. He'd found out at the Stanley hotel, when Sam had seen the ghost of Lucy. He'd gone crying to colby, spilling everything. I guess the vision of the little girl, blue lips and black fingers had been too much for Sam. He'd bottled his secret up his entire life, it was time he shared it with somebody. And he wouldn't want that somebody to be anyone but Colby.

{Sam's POV}

I climbed out the car, looking at the cabin in front of me. I opened the boot of my car, pulling out my camera and my overnight bag. Stealing a quick glance at the cabin again, I sighed heavily. I didn't really want to do this, but I know that the viewers really wanted a creepy Halloween video, and this seemed like the perfect option. I shut the boot and locked the car, shoving the key in the pockets of my jeans. I walked sheepishly towards the cabin, eyes scanning the area for any form of life. Or, death. I could see both, after all. I finally got to the cabin, and took the keys out of my bag that I had collected from the owner before I came here, and unlocked the door quickly. I stepped inside, eyes shooting around the small space at lighting speed. Nothing. Yet. I shut the door behind me, dropping my overnight bag on the floor by my feet and stepping of the little welcome mat I was currently stood on to have a look around the old cabin. It was old and damp, and it smelled of old people. The sofa's were all dusty and disgusting, and I shuddered at the thought of sitting down on the stained material. The bed was a puny little single bed, and when I pressed onto the mattress it was hard as rock. I sighed, traipsing back over to my overnight bag and pulling out the camera. I set it up on the little kitchen worktop, and sat down on one of the uncomfortable wooden seats. I pressed record and sat back, flashing on a fake smile and trying to make it look like I wanted to be here. "Whats up guyssssssss!!" I smiled, trying to fill myself with energy.
"Todayyyyy I'm here with a spooky video, seeing as it's close to Halloween and all,"
I said putting my thumbs up.
"As you can see, I appear to not be in my apartment ...."
I continued to explain where I was, that I was going to try and stay until the morning, and then I moved on to telling them a little about the history of the cabin.
"So, this place was built years and years and years ago, and the story goes that a man used to live here. He was a bit crazy, and he used to think he could communicate with the devil."
See. This is exactly why I didn't want anyone else finding out my secret.  They'd think I was crazy, like this guy. For all we know, he really could have been talking to the devil. "He used to say he worked for the devil, and in order to please the devil, the man would perform human and animal sacrifices."
I shuddered at the thought. God, i was going to see some horrendous things tonight. I continued talking about the story of the cabin, trying not to shudder at the cold chills sweeping over my arms, bringing goosebumps to my arms and a coldness that settled in my gut. I finished the intro, switching of the camera and letting out a long sigh. I traipsed over to my bag, pulling out the ghost equipment that I had bought. I decided I was going to leave this until later. I turned on the camera to make a tour of the cabin. I walked around the old wooden hut, showing each little section to my viewers and trying to joke around to cover up the horrendous feeling settling in my stomach. Once I finished the tour, I checked my watch. As I had arrived really late, it was already 10 o'clock. I told my camera that I was just gonna sit around till midnight, when I would start investigating properly. I set the camera down, reluctantly sitting down on the gross sofa and pulling my phone out. I tried to pass time, flicking through Instagram and snapchat, trying to distract myself with the funny videos that littered the social media's.
