{set in traphouse 1.0}

Parties were one of everyone's favourite things about the traphouse. Getting a bunch of friends and people they'd never met before together to cram into their house and dance and drink the night away. It was fun; everyone loved it. What wasn't so fun was waking up the next morning with a banging headache and spending the next 24 hours with your head down the toilet. Sam learnt pretty early on that it was probably best to not get ridiculously drunk at the famous trahouse parties. The blonde was never one to drink enough to get really drunk; but on the odd occasion he did. But after a morning spent having poor Colby have to hold his blonde hair back from his face as he puked into a toilet; Sam vowed he'd never get drunk again. Obviously, he didn't stick to that; but after a few more parties; he got fed up of waking up with a banging headache; so that's why during this particular traphouse party; the blonde was sipping lemonade from a plastic cup. Sam and Katrina had somehow managed to fit on the end of one of the sofas; and they were watching the crowd of strangers squished together; shoulder to shoulder.
"Do you even know half these people?" Kat shouted over the music.
"Not really," Sam replied; to which the blue haired girl giggled. Sam had an arm protectively round his girlfriend; as his eyes searched the crowd for people he did know. And finally; his eyes settled on Colby. The brunette was talking to some girl; leant lazily against the wall as she laughed at whatever came out of his mouth. She was twirling her hair around her finger, her body so close to colby's that they were almost chest to chest. That was the thing about the brunette. He was a girl magnet; always had been. Sam watched as the girl leant up and whispered something in Colbys ear; to which the brunette laughed. The blonde felt something spike in his chest as Colby leant down to whisper something back in the girls ear. He tightened his grip on Kat and looked away. He needed to stop being ridiculous. Colby could do what he wanted. He just needed to trust that his best friend wouldn't do anything stupid.
"You think he'll hook up with her?" Kat asked suddenly. Sam jumped, looking down at his girlfriend who must have followed his gaze to the brunette.
"Probably," Sam shrugged, resting his cheek on top of Kats head.

After a few more hours of partying; people started to leave. Kat went home a couple hours ago; so sam was left making small talk with a bunch of people he either barely knew or hadn't seen in ages. He lost sight of Colby; but he did see the girl he was talking to dancing with some other guy; so obviously that didn't work out. When the house was finally empty except for the roommates; Sam sighed as he glanced around the house; arms crossed. Parties were significantly less fun when you were sober enough to realise how much work it was gonna take to clean this house up in the morning. Sam just sighed, checking the doors were locked and moving to walk up the stairs. He wandered to his room; noticing that Colbys door was slightly ajar. Curiosity got the better of him; and the blonde cautiously peaked into the brunettes room; and smiled at what he saw. His best friend was sprawled out on his bed; fully clothed and fast asleep.
"He's wasted," Sam thought; as he chuckled. He softly walked into the brunettes room; grabbing a blanket from the end of the bed and gently laying it over the top of the sleeping boy. Colby shifted slightly, pushing his face further into the pillow and mumbling something the blonde couldn't understand. Sam smiled fondly; moving a stray strand of hair out of his best friends face before moving back towards the door.
"Night Colbs," he whispered; before turning out the overhead light and shutting the door softly.

"That's it. No more parties," Corey groaned; as he chucked another plastic cup in the bin. Sam just laughed.
"Whatever you say brother," he responded.
Sam, Corey, Jake and Aaron were currently taking on the immense task of cleaning the house. Everyone was hung over; except Sam, who was happily enjoying making fun of his friends who were groaning and running to the toilet to be sick as they tried to clear the house of any rubbish. The others had wanted to wake colby so the boy could help; but Sam refused to. He wanted to make sure colby got enough sleep; especially after how drunk he was last night. After hours of shoving abandoned rubbish into plastic bags, scrubbing the countertops and mopping the floors which were sticky with alcohol; the house was clean. Well, cleanish. But it was enough for them. Everyone filtered off in different directions, and Sam went into the gaming room and turned on the tv. He put on some random movie and settled down. After a few minutes, he heard footsteps coming down the stairs; and a messy haired Colby emerged from the bottom.
"Afternoon," Sam smirked; and Colby groaned in response. The brunette silently padded into the gaming room; one hand pressed to his head as he flopped onto the sofa next to Sam; laying down with his head in the blondes lap. Sam laughed as Colby screwed his eyes together and groaned again.
"You shouldn't drink so much," Sam giggled; as Colby massaged his own temples.
"Where's the fun in that?" was the brunettes response. His voice was raspy; a combination of a sore throat and having just woken up. Sam smiled; and bought a hand down to rake through colby's hair. His gentle fingers pressed into the brunettes scalp, and Colby hummed in response.
"Don't... I'll fall asleep again," colby yawned; shutting his eyes.
"That's alright," Sam said softly; and his best friend smiled.

Colby had slept for a couple hours; Sam has shifted him off his lap after his leg started to go numb. But at about 4pm; Colby was awake and stumbling to the toilet. Sam rolled his eyes and followed his friend into the bathroom; leaning against the doorframe as his friend puked. Colby leant his forehead against the toilet seat and groaned loudly. Sam scoffed amusingly; and colby sat up and looked at him.
"You good dude?" Sam chuckled, as Colby leant back against the wall.
"No!" Colby moaned; bringing a hand to his head.
"You want painkillers?" Sam asked, trying not to laugh at his hungover friend. The brunette looked up at the blonde, and a pout was playing on his lips.
"I could just use a hug," colby tried to say cutely; putting on his best puppy dog eyes. The blonde burst out laughing; and Colby scowled.
"That was cringey, Colby. Even for you," Sam giggled; and the brunette had to try not to crack a smile as-well.
"I'm not joking," colby continued.
Sam rolled his eyes jokingly and knelt down next to his friend.
"Come on then, you big baby," Sam smiled; opening his arms. Colby shuffled closer and wrapped his arms around the blonde. Sam smiled; feeling his best friend bury his face into Sams neck.
"I saw you didn't get with that girl last night," Sam spoke gently; still holding his friend. Colby shook his head, hands grasping Sam a little tighter.
"Why not?"
"Don't remember," colby grumbled. Sam laughed at that; slowly pulling away from the hug and standing up; hauling Colby up with him.
"Now; I'll order us some Taco Bell; you go and choose a movie, and we'll chill for the rest of the night; yeah?" Sam grinned. Colby nodded.
"Can you get me some painkillers please," colby requested as he walked out the bathroom. Sam flushed the toilet and followed.
"What am I? Your personal maid," Sam joked back.
"I'm sick!" Colby protested.
"You're hungover, Colbert. There's a bit of a difference," Sam retaliated.
"But you should still look after me," colby pouted.
"Quit making that face!" Sam laughed, and Colby rolled his eyes.
"Why should I have to look after you then? You're a big boy now," Sam teased, watching the brunette sit down on the sofa.
"Cos you know i'd do the same for you," colby replied. The blonde smiled at that; because it was true. If Sam had so much as a stuffy nose then Colby was there with a box of tissues and a hug.
"Alright, you got me there."
The blonde turned and started rummaging through their kitchen cupboards; finally finding a box of pain killers and walking to sit down next to colby in the gaming room; chucking the meds onto his lap.

"There we go. You can quit pouting now."
