Colby had everything any guy could ever want. A stunning girl, a beautiful home, a well paid job. But yet, a weight still weighed down on his chest. Pressing harshly onto his heart; making his stomach churn with guilt and anxiousness. Because whilst he was kissing plump red lips and running his fingers through long pink hair; he was thinking of pastel pale skin and a blonde hair that felt like clouds...."How was work babe?" the pink haired girl asked from their sofa. Colby just hummed in response, kicking of his shoes and loosening the buttons on his suit.
"Come on, tell me about your day," the girl pressed. Colby sighed quietly; trudging into the kitchen and turning the kettle on. He needed some coffee.
"Hello mister? I'm talking to you."
Colby turned around; forcing a smile as he stared at the girl standing in the kitchen doorway. Colby's fiancé, Heather, was stunning. No doubt about it. She had these bright blue eyes and long pink hair that flowed down her back in beach like waves. She was tall, almost as tall as Colby; and matched his height when she wore heals. She also had this amazing personality. She lit up the room when she walked in; managing to make anyone smile with one word and a flash of her perfect white teeth. All these reasons caused colby to fall in love with her; so why didn't he feel anything anymore..."Colby?"
"Sorry, babe. Just... a long day," colby lied, grabbing a mug from the cupboard.
"You okay?" She asked softly; her smirk dropping and instantly being replaced with a look of concern. Colby nodded, before reaching for the coffee tin, but before he could; a hand pressed on top of his.
"Hey... let me. You go sit down," heather smiled, pressing a kiss to colby's cheek. The brunette just nodded, trudging into the living room and collapsing onto the sofa. He fumbled for the remote; switching some comedy movie on and sitting back. Soon enough; he was sat sipping his coffee; which had been made exactly the way he liked it; with a pink head resting softly on his shoulder. It felt nice; just to be this close to someone. But blonde hair and sky blue eyes still flashed about in his mind; no matter how hard he tried to stop it.Colby sighed; looking at himself in the mirror of the shop he'd found himself in. He was shopping for a suit to wear at his wedding, with Jake Webber; aka his best man.
"That ones good dude," Jake hummed, looking at himself in his own suit. Colby nodded, biting his nails nervously as he looked at his reflection. He didn't want to be suit shopping- fuck, he wanted this material of his body. He didn't want to wear this at a wedding- he didn't even want a wedding. Well, he did 7 months ago, when he got down on one knee and slipped a ring onto the finger of a woman he thought he was going to love forever. But then he met this blonde-"Colby?"
"Sorry, sorry dude... uh- yeah. I like this one too."As much as colby hated to admit it; he knew he'd fallen out of love months ago. Kissing her didn't feel the same. Holding her didn't feel the same. Nothing felt the same. But kissing those small, innocent lips; holding that beautiful, delicate blonde made fireworks go of in his chest. And it made colby feel sick. Because his fiancé was one of the nicest people he'd ever met; and he did love her... just not in the way he should. He wanted to tell her- because she deserved that much. Deserved to know. But Colby just couldn't bear to see the hurt in her eyes, the tears that would almost certainly topple down her cheeks. Because Heather loved Colby. It was so obvious, as it should be. And the brunette could tell that his lack of enthusiasm about the wedding was hurting the pink haired girl more than she was letting on. Like last night, she asked for colby's opinion on what food they should have at the after-party; and Colby was so busy thinking about soft blonde hair and sky blue eyes- that he just picked the first option he saw. Sea-food. And Heather knew that Colby hated sea food. But she didn't say a word; simply decided on food she knew colby loved. Because Heather was kind like that. She was gentle, loyal, understanding. And that just made this whole situation even harder for colby to bear.
