This carries on from the last one - shot! Enjoy :)
Sam held Colby's hand tightly as the policeman led them both down the stairs of the building. Sam was pressed into the side of Colby, feeling comfort from the heat radiating of the brunette. "Can we go home?" Sam whispered, glancing up at Colby for a second before returning his focus to walking down the stairs without falling. "I'm afraid we're going to have to have a little chat before you go anywhere, son," the policeman frowned. Sam tensed up at the sentance.
"No, no Sam you're not in trouble," Colby reassured, squeezing Sams hand.
"We just want to have a chat buddy, make sure this isn't gonna happen again," the policeman explained. Sam sighed quietly, looking up at Colby. The brunette met his eyes and mouthed "it won't take long" to the blonde boy before looking away again. Sam nodded, before realising they'd reached the bottom of the stairs. He could see all the police cars and the ambulance. There was even a fire engine out there.
"W-why are they all here?" Sam asked quietly.
"It's protocol. They have to be here bud," said the policeman. Sam shivered as they walked out into the open air. All eyes immediately fell onto Sam, making the blonde cower away. He was gripping Colby's hand so tightly he wouldn't be surprised if he'd cut of the blood flow. Police men started to walk over to Sam, and the blonde stopped walking.
"Sam, it's fine," colby smiled gently, pulling Sam gently forward.
"Hey, Sam isn't it?" A policewoman asked. Sam nodded, leaning into Colby. He needed comfort so badly, god knows what he would do if the brunette wasn't here with him. Sam just wanted to go home, watch movies and eat junk food, just like colby said.
"Hi sam, my name is Jane. I just want to take you to our ambulance and have a little chat? Is that ok?" She asked.
Sam didn't answer, debating the offer in his head.
"I - I just want to go home," Sam decided, looking up at Colby. Colby offered him a small smile but it wasn't enough to put Sams mind to rest.
"I know you do Sam. We'll be as quick as we can ok? I just want to talk," Jane tried again. Sam frowned, scuffing his shoes against the concrete beneath him, and finally offering a very small nod. It was so small that Jane nearly missed it.
"Alright, just come with me. We'll go sit in the ambulance, ok?" Jane smiled. Sam started to walk, Colby beside him.
"Um.. just Sam if that's ok," Jane said gently. Sam shook his head.
"No, please can he stay," Sam muttered, grasping onto Colby's hand even tighter.
"Sam, I'll be just over there ok?" colby comforted.
"No, I want you to stay with me," Sam continued, tears brimming in his eyes. The blonde didn't understand what was going on. All he knew was that he wanted colby and wanted his best-friend to stay. Colby's eyes softened, and he instantly pulled the blonde into his chest.
"It won't take long, just like she said. I'll be right over there, i promise," Colby whispered in Sams ear. The blonde finally nodded, and pulled away from the embrace. Colby pressed a quick kiss to Sams forehead, and then walked away. Jane gently placed her hand on Sams back and led him to the ambulance. There was a male paramedic waiting there, and he offered a small smile at Sam.
"I don't need to be checked over, I'm fine,"
Sam said, eyeing the medical bag the paramedic was holding.
"We know, it's just protocol. It won't take long," Jane smiled.
"That's what you lot say about everything," Sam grumbled, sitting down on the bed and letting the man shine a horrible light in his eyes. As the paramedic checked him over, Jane asked Sam a bunch of questions. Sam answered them all, but his answers were short and un-detailed. He just wanted to get this over with. Once they were finally done, it had been half an hour. Sam sighed, getting down from the bed.
"Can I please go now?" Sam muttered, sticking his hands into his hoodie pockets.
"One moment, Sam. I want to talk to you about something," Jane interrupted. Sam clenched his fists in frustration. He wanted colby.
"My team and I have been in touch with a therapist. She wants you to attend regular sessions until you're feeling better," Jane smiled. A therapist? No Sam didn't like the sound of that. But he nodded anyway, knowing it would take longer if he put up a fight.
"Ok, good. This is her number and the address of her office," Jane said as she handed Sam a small card.
Sam nodded.
"Can I see Colby now?" Sam asked impatiently, putting the card in his pocket. Jane chuckled.
"Yes, you can see Colby," she smiled. Sam grinned slightly, walking out the ambulance. All the firemen had left now. It was just the ambulance and a singular police car. Colby was leaning against the police car on his phone, but he looked up when he saw Sam coming towards him.
"Hey! All done?" Colby asked. Sam didn't answer. He instead wrapped his arms around Colby's neck and hugged him tightly. Colby squeezed his best friend back just as hard, running a hand up and down the blondes back in a soothing manner.
"Colby Brock?" A female voice asked. Colby looked up to see Jane standing behind the two.
"A quick word please," she asked. Colby gently pealed Sam off him, Sam whining quietly in the process.
"5 minutes," colby promised, before smiling at Sam and heading off with Jane. Sam watched the two from where he was standing. They didn't walk very far away, but far enough that Sam couldn't hear them. He saw Jane hand Colby the same card that Sam had in his pocket. The policewoman smiled at Colby before patting his shoulder and walking away. Colby turned around and jogged back over to Sam. The blonde slipped his hand back into Colby's, and the brunette chuckled.
"Come on, my cars over there," colby smiled.
"What did she want?" Sam asked, curiosity dripping from his words.
"She wants me to keep an eye on you, make sure you go to your sessions and stuff," colby shrugged, swinging the pairs conjoined hands as they walked along to the brunettes car. Sam nodded, seeing the flashing lights of Colby's car as the brunette unlocked it. Sam climbed into the passenger seat, as Colby clambered into the drivers. Sam sighed happily when he heard the engine start and they pulled away from the building. They were going home. They were finally going home.{time skip 3 hours cos I'm lazy ✌️)
Sam sighed contently at the feeling of Colby's hand drifting through his blonde curls. He was tucked into the brunettes chest, as 'the greatest showman' played softly in the background. The floor around them was littered with wrappers from the takeaway they had ordered not long ago. Sam was feeling happier than he had done in months; here with Colby. Sam gently ran his hand over the fabric of Colby's t - shirt. His best friend has been amazing. Sam had come back to Colby's apartment and showered, and had got into some clean clothes (colby's hoodie and colby's jogging bottoms). And now the two were engrossed in a movie and their stomachs were full of junk food. Sam was happy, but there was one thing bothering him.
"Why are you doing this?" Sam asked suddenly. Colby jumped ever so slightly, and then furrowed his eyebrows as he looked down at the blonde.
"Doing what?" Colby asked, the hand coursing through Sams hair stopping abruptly.
"Helping."
Colby sighed, pulling Sam closer to him and kissing his blonde head of hair.
"God, Sammy," colby chuckled, resting his cheek on top of sams head.
"Because I care about you," colby smiled. Sam smiled too, looking up at his best friend.
"Thank you," Sam spoke, moving so his head was resting on Colbys shoulder, his nose in the crook of the brunettes neck.
"Of course," colby grinned.
"I'd do anything for you."This sucks sorry ✌️😭
