2 months later-

Suprisingly, Hank has let me work cases, even though I'm 6 months right now. We still need a name nothing is coming up. The girls have been super distant and I know exactly why. Jay and I have been fighting like crazy, we never agree on anything and we never get along. We have both been distant in our marriage. And everybody sees it. Antonio had explained the case and Hank sent us out on our beats. But me and Jay were supposed to walk around the neighborhood of the victim and see if we see anything weird I guess. We stayed quiet and neither of us spoke. Then Jay finally spoke up.

"I dont wanna fight."

"What?"

"Erin you know the kids see it, people at work see it. We see it definitely and we gotta fix it for our selves for our kids."

"Well I hear you but Jay its not just me as soon as I got back to work its-its like you didn't want me here. Like you would rather be partners with Upton than with me your wife!"

"Thats not it okay? It took me by suprise is all. But work and Upton isn't our problem okay it's us. We have to fix it. When we wanna scream and rip each others heads off, we take a breath or make out or something." He said laughing and I was laughing too.

I loved Jay and I didn't wanna fight. I knew he was right we had to fix it. But it wouldn't just be easy magic.

"Were home!" I screamed through the door.

We let the girls stay home alone and since I was back at 21st they were here all the time by theirselves but they had each other.

"Hey!" Nadia said walking tp the front room not looking away from her phone.

"Hey mom!" Remy said hugging me.

"Hey baby!" I kissed her head and then went to the kitchen.

"Nadia look away from your phone!" Jay said grabbing it.

"Hey I was doing something!" Nadia said following Jay into the living room.

"Don't scream Nadia." I said grabbing the food from the fridge.

"Maybe mom will listen to me." She said coming to the kitchen taking a seat at the island.

"Whats up babe?" I said turning on the water as Jay came into the kitchen.

"Well there is a party at my friend Eric's all of the people at school were going and I really really wanna go so can I?"

"I dont know ask your dad." I said smiling at her and Jay.

"Ughh! Then I already know the answer whatever!" Nadia said running up the stairs.

"She's not going with that attitude."

I look at Jay with a serious look, and he looks back laughing "She's 12 Erin, she doesn't need to go to a boy's house in middle school." He said kissing my cheek.

Jay headed upstairs and took a shower, and I started to make dinner. Then when dinner was ready we all sat at the table and then Remy started the conversation "Mom can I ask somethin?"

"Yeah sure."

She set her fork down and then said "Why have we never met your parents, I mean we have met dad's but not yours."

I immediately knew what to say, "You have Hank."

"But he isn't your dad that doesnt count."

"Well Nadia has seen your uncle and my dad when she was 1."

"That doesnt count either mom." Nadia said taking a huge bite of her food.

"Well-"

"Your mom's mom isn't a good person she didn't even want mom to have Nadia."

"Wha-what?" Nadia said setting her fork down.

I sighed and buried my hands to my head "Jay."

"She didn't support mom, and so she never let her meet you two."

"So we will never see her or meet her, mom?" Remy asks as Nadia crosses her arms looking at me.

"I need some air." I threw my napkin on my plate and went to the door closing it behind me. Moments later Nadia came outside and sat on the steps with me.

"I told dad I could talk to you."

"I know that you have met your dad's parents, but my side of the family just isn't something I want you around okay?"

"I understand." Nadia leaned her head on my shoulder.

"You and dad have been fighting a lot are you guys okay?"

"Were fine. Everything is okay." At least I hoped it was.

Nadia headed back inside and I went in right behind her heading to my room.

I wasnt one of the pepple who would just give up on my marriage we would fix it.

Together.
