All That Matters 2

TWENTY NINE

The night after the last chapter.

I decided to go to Jay's tonight. We needed to get this over with even though it sucked we were getting divorced we had to sign. I went to his apartment with the papers and had Burgess take the girls for a little bit till I got back. Which wouldn't be long. I knocked on Jay's door and I knew he was home because I could here the T.V. on. He came to the door, and I walked in before he could say anything.

"Um?" He said confused and closed the door.

"We need to sign these." I said sitting on the couch and holding the papers in the air.

He sighed and sat next to me. He nodded his head and I looked at him trying to hold back the tears. I wanted him so bad in that moment. I hadn't kissed Jay in almost 2 years and I wanted it to go back to normal.

"Erin." He said looking at me.

Then I moved closer to him and kissed him gently. He kissed me back and I didn't pull away. I climbed on top of him and kept kissing him.

And that is when I knew I couldn't let him go.

I woke up the next day on Jay's bed and he was already awake. Looking at me. I forgot about how he kissed. I looked at him and smiled kissing his chest and he started to blush. We started to laugh and then I sat up on the bed.

"What was that?" I said laughing.

"I don't know."

"What are we doing Jay?"

"I say we burn the divorce papers!"

I start to fake laugh and put my shirt on. "I gotta go get the girls from Kim's."

"Oh come on Erin don't go all one night stand on me."

"I'll see you at work." I close his room door and then walk to my car.

I didn't know if I wanted to get back with him but I knew I was happy last night. I headed to Kim's and planned on telling her.

"So you guys--?" Kim said as I interuppted her.

"Shhhh! I dont want the girls to know!"

"Right! Well so what now are you guys back together?"

"I dont know. Maybe, maybe not I don't really know right now."

"Okay well you let me know when you do."

I take the girls home thinking about Jay the whole time.

I didn't know if this was something I wanted but I loved being with Jay last night.

I guess time will tell.
