All That Matters 2

EIGHT

This was the last day before we were back to orginal partners. Jay didn't even come home last night. He stayed at Will's and of course the girls questioned it. He was in the break room, when I got there so I headed in there to talk to him.

"Your kids were asking where the heck you were last night."

"What did you say?"

"I told them you were with your brother. But they aren't babies anymore Jay they know what's going on."

He sighed and looked away from me and towards the wall and then looked back. "What are we doing, Erin?"

"I dont know Jay but you seemed to have a dang good time with Upton this week. Makes me wonder."

"Erin-"

"Just think about the kids Jay." I said starting to walk out.

"Wait come here for a sec." I went towards him hoping he would say something to fix it all or say he was sorry.

"I'm taking the girls to Boston for a few days, a father daughter thing till friday and I leave with them tonight. Were gonna be fine Erin, me and you are gonna be okay its just gonna take time." He kissed me slowly and pulled away fast and then walked out of the room. I didn't know what to say he was taking them without even checking with me first. What was happening here. I had 2 months left of this pregancy almost. That was enough time. To fix it all.

Later that night, Jay had a plane ticket for him and the girls to fly to Boston. I would be all alone on the house, without my girls and without Jay. But lately it already felt like I was without him.

"Bye my sweet girls." I said hugging Remy and Nadia.

"We will call every night okay?" Nadia said waving phone in the air.

I nodded my head and they got on the car and I wasn't sure how me and Jay would say goodbye. A hug, a kiss, nothing?

"I will call when we land."

I nod my head and hug him. "I love you."

"Me too." He smiles showing no teeth.

"For once I think they want to see us kiss." I said chuckling.

"Well we gotta go before were late so."

"Okay." I nod my head and wave goodbye, he waves back and then gets in the car and the driver takes off.

I go inside and its so quiet, none of Nadia's teen music playing, Remy's Tv isn't on, no noise. It could be nice but I will miss it.

Me and Jay are so broken its not even funny. I just don't know what to do he didn't even say I love you or kiss me goodbye. Maybe this trip will help. He could get away from me for a little while and clear his head. I needed to clear mine too.
