"Girls will you come down here please!" I screamed from the bottom of the stairs!

"Okay do you wanna say it or--"

"Yeah." I said trying not to make eye contact with him.

"Whats up?" Nadia said coming down the stairs texting.

"Nadia can you put that away so we can talk to you."

She immediately put the phone down and I think she knew something was wrong.

"Girls sit down please." Jay said as we both sat down.

"Okay?" Nadia said plopping down on the couch.

"Are we in trouble?" Remy asks us as they both laugh.

"No but we have to tell you guys something."

Nadia gasps and says "You're pregant?"

"No she's not-- just let your mother talk please." Jay says looking at the girls.

"So I know that you both have heard and seen somethings with me and dad okay? And I know you know some stuff that has been going on.  And the truth is dad and I haven't been getting along for a long long time and we gave it some time for you two and for ourselves. But its just not working. And so dad has bought an apartment and he's not gonna live here anymore okay?"

Remy starts to cry and then Jay takes over "This doesn't mean that we won't see you as much okay you guys are our kids and we love you both so much okay so after school on friday till Sunday night you are gonna come to my house. Okay and this is gonna be okay but mom and me are separated right now."

"No! No you can't do that, were a family you have to live here you can't do that!" Remy says starting to sob. Jay hugs her and holds her in her arms

I rush to Nadia's side and she starts to cry and I hug her too. I knew this would be hard on them. But it has ruined them. The girls went upstairs and Jay was leaving.

"Um, so." Jay said.

"Jay, this is our fault, we did this to them."

"Its gonna be fine Erin." Jay said leaving.

He better be right.

This better be fine.
