We never really told anyone, about the other night just Kim. We didn't want the girls to know just in case that was a one night thing. I headed to work now being partners with Jay again. It was better, we were getting along but it still felt weird. We were currently married but I still had the divorce papers. The question was I didn't know if I still wanted to sign them.
"Alright Jess Aarons, 15 year old boy close to Nadia's age, found in a river last night okay I want Jay and Erin on this everyone else normal beats till something comes up, you know interview the family and all that." Hank said closing his office door.
"I'm gonna go grab my stuff." I said walking to the locker room.
I went to the locker room opening it up then I heard the door open and saw Jay storm around the corner. He grabbed me and put himself against my locker closing it with his back, he kissed me hard and I kissed back but I knew it didn't used to be like this.
"Jay."
"Hmm?" He said kissing my neck.
"We need to talk."
"Yeah, yeah." Jay said moving towards my lips.
"I'm serious jay." I said pulling him off.
"You okay what's going on?" He said touching my hips.
"I don't know about this, it was fun and I love you but we still have our issues and--"
"Erin, Erin." He said touching my cheek.
"Yeah?" I said sighing and closing my eyes.
"We can make it work and we can get through it. You are all I want I love you more than anything and I--"
"Jay just shut up." I kissed him and then stopped. I pulled out the divorce papers from my bag and he looked shocked.
"Erin what the he--" He started to talk but then I smiled and tore the papers into shreds. He smiled and started to laugh.
"So now what?" He asked.
"Now, you pack your stuff and you come home to me and our kids." I said whispering in his ear and kissing the back of his neck. We kissed for minutes and then finally went on patrol.
I felt so happy but I wasn't sure how long it would last.
