All That Matters 2

THIRTY ONE

We decided to not tell the girls about Jay and me but we agreed to tell the team. We went up the stairs and we're smiling the whole time wating for someone to ask us why we were so happy. And then finally Kevin did.

"Guys we gotta say something." Jay said grabbing my arm.

"We um... well Jay and I are getting back together." I said smiling.

"Wow! That's awesome guys!" Dawson said hugging both of us.

"Congrats!" Kevin said.

We planned on telling the girls tommorow night. But Hank didn't really seem happy when we told him. I went into his office and started to talk to him.

"Hey Hank are you good?"

"I'm dying Erin." He said closing his eyes.

"Wha--what?"

"I had a appointment and they told me if I don't have open heart sugery I could die."

"Oh my...Hank." I said starting to cry.

"If I get the surgery I could die but if I leave it I have a higher chance of living."

"It's your choice Hank, but I want you to know I love you so much." I said running to his side to cry.

I started to walk out and then he said my name "Erin?"

"Yeah?"

"I'm glad you and Jay are back on track." He said smiling softly.

I left the room and held back tears going to the car. I went to bed pretty early only thinking about Hank. He had told no one but me.

I didn't want him to die.

I didn't want Hank to die.

He can't die.

He can't leave me.

I just got it all back and now he might be going away.

Please don't die Hank. Please don't die.
