Jin POV
Walking into the cafeteria where we all meet up together with my brothers the next morning, I'm almost relieved to see Yoongi there for once. Almost.
Like always the younger is sat quietly at the table, and I force myself to move to take a seat beside him rather than at the other end of the table. His head turns in my direction as I sit down beside him, and I watch as a small smile immediately blooms onto his face.
"Good morning, baby." Yoongi greets somewhat brightly as he takes my hand in his. I force a small smile in return, though I can manage to see a small difference in his small smile today versus the ones I'd been receiving the week before.
Why does it seem a little like it's painful for him?
"Morning, Yoongi-ssi." I return quietly. His smile grows just a little at this, and I'm surprised by the sight. Why the hell would my greeting him make him want to smile?
I just ignore the fact though, directing my attention away from him once more as I gently pull my hand out of his grasp. I notice his lips turn downwards in the tiniest of frowns at this, and it confuses me once more before I decide to brush it off, figuring I've probably misread it or something.
"Ya know, for a couple who hasn't seen each other in nearly a week, I would've expected a little bit more of a greeting than just that." Jimin comments with a tiny frown. I mentally groan at this, wishing they wouldn't be so damn observant.
"What were you expecting, Jiminie? Some grand make out session or something?" Yoongi questions in amusement at the younger. I refrain from frowning at this, entirely despising the idea of possibly kissing the younger but somewhat hurt by his amusement at the idea at the same time.
"I mean, I kinda was." Tae speaks up, making me feel somewhat betrayed. Yoongi smiles at the younger though as he wraps his arm around my waist and pulling me into his side. I have to control myself from shoving him away on instinct, but grow curious to the small wince he'd done when moving his arm and when my body came crashing into contact with his smaller one.
"Tae, out of everyone, I would've thought you'd know your brother better. Jinnie doesn't like doing much more than holding hands in public with lots of people around. He gets embarrassed with that kind of stuff easily." Yoongi lies easily, and I'm impressed with the way he managed to save our asses from me having to suffer through a kiss with him. Tae just smiles at this though, seeming content with that response.
"Hyung's never dated anyone before. Namjoon hyung and I wouldn't really know." Tae explains with a small shrug. I glare at the younger from this, wishing he hadn't exposed such a fact.
Yoongi's eyes widen just a little as he turns to look over at me, but I simply roll my eyes.
"It's embarrassing, okay? I would've preferred to keep that a secret. Taehyung." I say, still glaring at the younger who simply gives a small sheepish smile as he shrugs once more.
"Hey, there's Hobi!" Jungkook exclaims with a smile.
"I was beginning to wonder. We need to get going unless we all want to be late for our classes." Namjoon mutters with a sigh before standing. The others quickly follow suit, all but Yoongi. His grip around my waist tightens just a small amount that's nearly missable before he's letting go of me. I frown in confusion as I look over at the younger and stand myself.
Though, as I begin to walk away, beginning to leave him behind like the rest have done, it's only then that he stands. Turning back to watch him, knowing I'll get scolded if I'm not walking with him, I'm surprised to find his face contorting into pain as he stands. Watching more intently, his first few steps after that are limps before he's finally walking properly. He gives me a bright smile when he finds I've waited for him, soon coming to my side and taking my hand in his before we begin walking over to where the others are now waiting on us.
"Are you okay?" I ask quietly as we head towards our friends. He frowns at the question, a look of confusion taking over his face as he looks up at me.
"Of course. Why would you think I'm not?" Yoongi responds, seeming just a little startled by the question.
"You winced when standing up, Yoongi." I point out softly as we grow near the others. He just gives me a small smile that quickly drops when he looks away from me.
"I think I slept wrong last night. Just a little tight. I didn't think you'd be one to actually care." Yoongi answers, mumbling the last part under his breath. Though, the cafeteria is quiet enough that I manage to catch, making me frown once more.
I don't respond though, knowing I don't really have room to be arguing that after some of the things I've said to him.
