Year 1 -Chapter 1

As Tia and I walked onto Kings Cross station is was 10:40 and the train left at 11:00 so we had 20 minutes. We looked at our tickets.
"Platform 9 and 3 quarters" Tia said "there's no such thing is there"
"Come on" I said "we'll find it"
We walked onto the platform more and Tia began walking up to one of the men working on the platform. I walked up behind her.
"Excuse me?" Tia asked
He looked at us.
"Do you know where we could find platform 9 and 3 quarters?" She asked him
"9 and 3 quarters are you having a laugh" he said waking off
"Now what are we gonna do?" Tia Sighed
"Listen" I said "I read about something but if it's not true then we could seriously injure ourselves"
"Well what is it?" She asked me
"We run through the walk between platforms 9 and 10" I said
"What are you crazy?" She said
"Just come on I'll go first" I replied
I stood in front of the wall between platforms 9 and 10 , I looked over at Tia and she looked at me hopefully.
I ran into the wall and came out on a different platform and in front of me was the most magnificent train I had ever seen. The Hogwarts express.
Tia came through the wall behind me.
"Woah" she gasped
We walked towards the train , put our luggage in the luggage compartment and went to find a place to sit.
The only compartment that looked vaguely empty was one with a raven haired boy with glasses and one with Ginger hair, I opened the door slightly and they both looked at me.
"Can we sit here , everywhere else is full?" I asked
"Of course" the raven haired boy said
I smiled at him and we walked in sitting on the opposite side to them.
"I'm Y/n by the way Y/n L/n " I said
"I'm Harry , Harry Potter" the raven haired boy said
I looked over at the ginger haired boy.
"Oh I'm Ronald Weasley but everyone calls me Ron" he said
"Nice to meet you both" I said
I looked over at Tia.
"Oh right I'm Tia Firoozi" she said
We all laughed a little.
Soon a lady came up to the door.
"Anything off the trolly dears" She said
Tia and I shook our heads and Ron pulled a sandwich out of his pocket saying
"No thanks I'm all set" smiling weakly
"We'll take the lot" Harry said
Ron , Tia and I all looked at Harry shocked.
"You didn't have to do that Harry" I said
"I wanted to" he said
Ron was eating a jelly snake whilst Tia and I were eating Bertie bots every flavour beans.
"Every flavour beans?" Tia asked
"And they mean every flavour, George swear he got a bogey flavoured one once. Tia pulled a bean out of her mouth and I just laughed.
Harry got a chocolate frog and began opening it.
"I've read about those" I said "each one contains a famous witch or wizard card"
He opened it.
"These aren't real frogs are they?" Harry Asked
"It's just a spell" Ron said
The frog jumped out of the packet and onto the window and soon it was gone.
"Rotten luck" Tia said
Harry pulled out the card.
"I've got dumbledore" Harry said
"Let's see" I said
He handed me the card and I examined it and then handed it back to him.
"Hey he's gone" Harry said
"Well you can't expect him to hang around all day can you" Ron said
I suddenly heard a rustling noise coming from inside a box of Bertie bots. We all looked over at it.
"This is scabbers" Ron said "Bit pathetic isn't he"
"Just a little" Tia replied
"Fred taught me a spell to turn him yellow" Ron said "want to see?"
"Yeah" I said
He cleared his throat.
All of a sudden a girl came up to the door.
"Have you seen a toad a boy named Neville's lost it?" She asked
"No sorry" I said
"Oh are you doing magic let's see then" she said
"Sunshine Daisy's butter mellow turn this stupid fat rat yellow" Ron said
The box flew off scabbers' head however he didn't turn yellow.
"Are you sure that's a real spell?" She asked "Well it's not very good is it."
Ron looked over at me and I just sniggered.
She sat next to me , in front of Harry.
"I've only practiced a few simple spells myself , but they've all worked for me , for example" she said
She pulled out her wand and pointed it at Harry's face.
"Oculus Reparo" She said
Harry's glasses immediately fixed , he pulled them off looking at them.
"Wait Your Harry Potter" She said
"I'm Hermione Granger"
She looked over at Tia and I.
"I'm Y/n L/n " I said
"I'm Tia Firoozi" Tia said
"Nice to meet you" Hermione said
"And you are?" She asked looking at Ron
"Erm Ron Weasley" He said , with his mouth full of chocolate.
"Pleasure" She said
"Well you four better change into your robes I expect we'll be arriving soon"
"Thanks Hermione" I said
She smiled at me and began walking out of the door but before she did she turned round and looked at Ron.
"You've got dirt on your nose by the way , did you know just there" she said rubbing her nose , then she left
I laughed .
"Well that was" I said but before I could finish Harry cut me off
"Interesting"
"That's one word for it" Tia said
"Do I actually have dirt on my nose?" Ron Asked
"Yes you do" I said
He sighed and began rubbing at his nose.
