Chapter 2

Harry's POV:
Y/n , Ron , Tia and I stepped off the train and when we did I heard a familiar voice
"Firs yers this way , firs yers"
It was Hagrid , we walked over to him.
"Hi Hagrid" I said
"Woah" Y/n, Tia and Ron said at the same time.
Hagrid told us that to get to Hogwarts we had to go on Boats . It was four to a boat which was perfect as there were four of us.
We all got in the boat and began on our way to hogwarts.
As we approached nearer the castle I heard Y/n say something.
"It's beautiful" she said
"Yeah it is" I replied , however I wasn't looking at the castle , I was looking at her.
Your POV:
We approached hogwarts in the boats and when I saw the castle my jaw dropped it was the most amazing thing I had ever seen in my life , I saw that Tia and Ron looked shocked as well.
"It's beautiful" I said
"Yeah it is" I heard Harry say however when I looked at him out of the corner of my eye I saw that he wasn't looking at the castle , he was looking at me , I turned away trying to hide the blush that was creeping onto my face.

We soon arrived at the castle and we walked up some stairs to be greeted by a woman with a tall black hat on and a green cloak I'm assuming that she's Professor McGonagall.
"Welcome to Hogwarts" she said "in a moment you will walk through these doors and join your class mates but before you can do that you will be sorted into your houses"
Before she could a say anymore a boy ran from behind Harry and I , basically pushing through us , I almost fell over but Harry put his hand on my shoulder to steady me.
"Trevor" he shouted , grabbing what looked like a frog , it must have been the one Hermione was taking about on the train , therefore he must be Neville.

Professor McGonagall started talking again.
"Now as I was saying there are four houses , Gryffindor, Hufflepuff , Ravenclaw and Slytherin" she said
"I hope we are all in the same house" I whispered to Harry
"Me too" he whispered back

"While you are here your house will be like your family , your triumphs will earn you points , any rule breaking and you will lose points at the end of the year the house with the most points will be awarded the house cup" she said
I looked over and Tia and smiled at her.
"The sorting ceremony will begin momentarily" she said before she walked off through the doors.
Everyone started talking until a blonde haired boy spoke up.
"So it's true then" he said "what they were saying on the Train Harry Potter has come to Hogwarts"
I looked over at Harry and he just shrugged.
"This is crabbe and Goyle" he said referring to the boys behind him "and I'm Malfoy , Draco Malfoy"
Ron Tia and I all sniggered.
"Think my names funny do you" He said walking over to us "no need to ask yours red hair and a hand me down robe , you must be a Weasley."
I could see the hurt look on Ron's face so I decided to step in.
"Leave him alone" I said
"And Who are you?" He said "let me guess muggle born are you"
I stayed silent.
"Knew it" he said
"You See Potter some wizarding families are better than others , I can help you there , you don't want to go making friends with the wrong sort" he said looking and Ron and I
"I think I can tell the wrong sort for myself thanks" Harry said
Malfoy looked disgusted, whereas Ron , Tia and I just smiled .

Then McGonagall came up behind Malfoy tapped him on the shoulder with some paper and he moved.
"They're ready for you know" she said
We all walked into the great hall and there were tables with older students on them. It was beautiful the great hall.
We all gathered in front of what looked like to be an old hat.
"Now before we begin Professor Dumbledore would like to say a few words" she said walking to the side and I man with a white beard stood up and began talking.
"First years please note that the dark forest is strictly forbidden to all students" he began "and our caretaker Mr Filch has asked me to remind you that the third floor corridor on the right hand side is out of bounds to those who do not wish to die a most painful death"
I looked at Harry who looked just as worried and confused as I did.
"Thank you" He said sitting down
Professor McGonagall came up to the front again and pulled out a long scroll.
"When I call your name you will come forth , I will place the sorting hat on your head and you will be sorted into your houses" she said
"Hermione Granger" She said
Hermione came from behind us and began walking up , I heard her muttering something under her breath however I couldn't quite make out what it was .
"Mental that one I'm telling you" I heard Ron say to Harry.
Tia elbowed him in the arm
"Ow" He said "what was that for?"
"Don't be mean Ron" Tia said "she's nervous just like we all"
Hermione sat on the stool and the sorting hat was placed on her head.
Hmm well then let's see , yes better be :
GRYFFINDOR !
Hermione hopped off the stool with a look of joy on her face , the Gryffindor table all began clapping as she went and sat down.
"Tia Firoozi" Professor McGonagall said
I glanced over at Tia and gave her a smile and mouthed "Good Luck", she smiled at me and walked up to the stool, she sat down and the sorting hat was placed on her head.
Let me see , interesting , intelligence and wit but also some courage and ability to stick up for your friends hmm better be:
RAVENCLAW
Tia got off the chair and the Ravenclaw table were all clapping , I looked over at her and smiled she weakly smiled back and sat down.
"Ronald Weasley" Professor McGonagall said
Ron looked shocked , I moved out of the way so he could get through. He walked up and sat down with the hat on his head.
Ha another Weasley I know just what to do with you : GRYFFINDOR
Ron took a sigh of relief and made his way to the Gryffindor table whilst all the Gryffindors were clapping , he sat opposite to Hermione.
"Draco Malfoy" Professor McGonagall said
Draco made his way up and the hat didn't even properly touch his head before it yelled : SLYTHERIN
Malfoy made his way to the table.
"Y/n L/n"Professor McGonagall said
My eyes widened when I heard my name , I made my way up whilst getting a reassuring pat on the back and a smile from Harry. I sat on the stool and got the hat placed on my head.
Hmm interesting , plenty of dedication yes and love and passion . The desire to help others and stand up for your friends . You've also taken a keen liking to Famous boys but where to put you. It thought for a moment
Got it better be : GRYFFINDOR
When I heard those words a smile grew on my face as I hopped off the stool , however I couldn't help but feeling a little upset that I wasn't in the same House as Tia.
I made my way to the Gryffindor table whilst they were all clapping , I sat next to Hermione and I was greeted by all the older Gryffindors .
Harry's POV:
I saw Y/n walking over to the Gryffindor table , I hoped that I was going to be in the same house and Ron and Y/n and Hermione I guess she seemed nice on the train.
"Harry Potter" I heard Professor McGonagall say .
The whole Hall went silent as I walked up and sat on the stool. The sorting hat was placed on my head.
Difficult , very difficult plenty of courage I see not a bad mind either there's talent oh yes and a thirst to prove yourself but where to put you.
"Not Slytherin" I whispered "Not Slytherin"
Not Slytherin , are you sure you could be great you know , it's all here in your head and Slytherin will help you on the way to greatness there's no doubt about that.
"Please please Anything But Slytherin" I whispered again
Well if your sure better be GRYFFINDOR

I saw Y/n and Ron's faces light up. The whole of the Gryffindor table stood up and began clapping as I made my way over. Everyone shook my hand and I even heard Ron's brothers chanting "we've got Potter , we've got Potter"
I sat down next to Ron facing Y/n.
Soon the ceremony was over and we all began talking again however there was a sudden sound of a spoon banging against a glass , it was Professor McGonagall. Professor Dumbledore stood up and said "let the feast begin"
Out of no where loads of food appeared in front of me , I had never seen this much food in my life . Everyone began eating except Y/n .
"Y/n what's wrong?" I asked her
She looked up at me.
"I feel bad for Tia" she said
I looked over at the Ravenclaw Table to see Tia sitting there alone.
"I'm sure she will be fine , now come on eat something before Ron eats it all" I said
She laughed at that and began eating.
Your POV:
Everyone around me began eating , but I just looked over at the Ravenclaw table and saw Tia sitting there alone I couldn't help but feel bad.
"Y/n what's wrong?" Harry Asked me
I looked up at him and sighed.
"I feel bad for Tia" I told him
He looked over at the Ravenclaw table and then looked back at me.
"I'm sure she'll be fine" he said "now come on eat something before Ron eats it all"
I looked over at Ron who shoving Chicken into his mouth. I laughed and began eating.
Out of no where a ghost popped up out of the plate or Chicken legs just as I was grabbing another . I jumped and dropped the chicken.
"Hello" He said "Welcome to Gryffindor"
"Hello sir Nicolas" Percy said (I picked that up from Ron) "did you have a nice holiday?"
"It was ok however my application for the headless hunt was once again declined"
"I know you" Ron said "your nearly headless nick"
"I prefer Sir Nicolas if you don't mind" he said
"Nearly headless how can you be nearly headless" Hermione said
I saw Harry roll his eyes and I laughed a little.
"Like this" He said almost pulling his head off
He left and I turned to the others.
"That just made me lose my appetite" I said laughing
"Seconded" Hermione said
"Ron on the other hand clearly hasn't" Harry said
Ron Who had a mouthful of chicken looked at us all.
"What?" He said , however it was hard to work out what he was saying.
We all just laughed.
