Harry's POV:
"You mean that You-Know-Who is out there right now? In the forest? Hermione Asks trembling and looking out of the window of the Gryffindor common room
"But he's weak" I add "He's living off the unicorn. Don't you see? We had it all wrong Snape doesn't want the stone for himself he wants it for Voldemort. With the elixir of life Voldemort will be strong again. He'll come back" I say sitting down next to the burning fireplace
"Hey Harry?" Ron Asks me "if he comes back you don't think he'll try and kill you do you?"
My best friend asks me nervously
"I think if he'd had the chance he would've tried to kill me tonight" I answer honestly
"And to think... I've been worrying about my potions final" Ron says
"There's a potions final!?!" Y/n exclaims , we all just laugh
I look over at her. Despite everything that's happened this year I'm so glad you have her as one of my friends. She's so funny and smart and if I may say so Beautiful. She catches me looking and gives me a small smile.
"Argggg Hermione say something smart" I say desperately
Ron and Y/n look at me curiously but Hermione is still thinking.
"We're forgetting one thing. Who's the wizard Voldemort always feared?" She asks
Ron and I look at each other cluelessly but Y/n sits up right "Dumbledore" she exclaims
"Precisely" Hermione replies "As long as dumbledores around Harry you're safe. As long as Dumbledores around you can't be touched" she says reassuringly
I realise she's right. I give her a small smile. Dumbledore will protect me , I'll be totally fine . Still it's not me who I'm most worried about. It's Hermione, Ron and Y/n. They are my best friends and I don't want them getting hurt because that would hurt me 2000 times more than myself getting hurt would.
*time pass*
"You know I always thought that hogwarts end of year exams were frightful. But I found them rather enjoyable" Hermione said skipping along side us
We had just finished our Final Exams and were heading out of the castle and onto the grounds of Hogwarts. The exams were ok I guess as I had studied fairly well, however when I saw the list of questions I can't say I wasn't shocked. Nevertheless I think I did pretty well. I glance over at Ron and can't help but laugh. He looks so shaken up. My hand then goes straight to my scar on my forehead and I wince in pain.
"Speak for yourself!" Ron exclaimed to Hermione, he notices me feeling my scar and turns his attention to me "you alright Harry?"
"It's my scar , it keeps burning" I reply
"It's happened before" Hermione states rather than asks
"Not like this" I say
Y/n stops in her tracks and looks at me "I don't know Harry maybe you should see the nurse" she says brushing my hair out of my face to see my scar
"I think it's a warning" I say
"A warning?" She Asks me
"That dangers coming" I add
"Uhh" I say again as I lift my hand to my head and then it hits me.
Of course it's so obvious, I look over in the direction of Hagrids Hut.
"I've done it!" I say quickening my pace over to Hagrids
"Done what?" Hermione Asks me
"Don't you see? Don't you think it's a bit odd that what Hagrid wants more than anything is a dragon and a stranger turns up and just happens to have one?" I ask rhetorically "how many people walk around with Dragon eggs in their pocket? Why didn't I see it before?" I start to run up to Hagrids the others following behind but then we hear a noise behind us and we stop.
"Y/n!" It shouts
It was Tia and another Girl that was stood next to her.
She runs over to us and I whisper to Y/n "not a good time"
"I know" she whispers back
"Hey Tia" Y/n says
"Hey Y/n" she says "hi Harry , Ron , Hermione"
"Hi" I reply
"Anyway" Tia continues "meet my new Friend Ash"
"Hey" ash says
"Hi Ash Nice to meet you , I would love to talk more but we have something to do" Y/n tells her
"Oh ok then" Tia says
We get to Hagrids.
"Hagrid!Who gave you that dragon egg? What did they look like?" I say
"Well I don't know," Hagrid says "I never saw his face, he kept his hood up"
"But this stranger though , you and he must have talked" I say
"Well he wanted to know what sorta creatures I looked after" Hagrid says
"Uh oh" I hear Y/n mutter under her breath
"I told im. I said after Fluffy a dragons gonna be no problem" Hagrid says
"Did he seem interested in Fluffy?" I ask
"Well 'o course he was interested in Fluffy. How often D'ya come across a three headed dog. Even if you're in the trade. But I told him I said the trick with any beast is to know how to calm them. Take Fluffy for example just play im some music and he goes right to sleep" he says shrugging
The four of us look at each other in excitement. That's it! That's how we get past Fluffy! We've finally got it!
"I shouldn't have told you that" he says shaking his head
"C'mon Guys we cant waste anymore time!"
Y/n exclaims sprinting back to the castle
"Thanks Hagrid!" Hermione yells before running after Y/n
"Means a lot to us" Ron adds and we follow the girls to the castle
"Where Ya going? Wait!" Hagrid yells behind us but of course we ignore him and keep on running.
We run past Tia and I see that Y/n shoots her a quick smile and an apologetic look.
The four of us run into McGonagalls office out of breath "we have to see Professor Dumbledore!" I exclaim "immediately!"
"I'm afraid Professor Dumbledore is not here. He received an urgent owl from the Ministry of Magic and left immediately for London" she says
"He's gone? But this is important! This is about the philosophers stone!" I exclaim nearly yelling
"How do you know..." Professor McGonagall begins nervously.
"Not important!" Y/n and Ron shout at the same time
"Someone's gonna try and steal it!" I say
McGonagall looks around at the four of us "I don't know how you four found out about the stone but I assure you it is perfectly protected. Now if you would please go back to your dormitory's . Quietly," she says and looks back down at her work.
We hang our heads and walk out of the office without making a sound.
"It must have been Snape that sold that Dragon egg to Hagrid" Y/n says
"Which means he knows how to get past Fluffy" I add walking closer to her
"And with Dumbledore gone..." Hermione begins
"Good Afternoon" says the low grumbly voice of Professor Snape
We turn our heads to him.
Snape eyes each of us suspiciously "Now what would four young Gryffindors such as yourselves be doing inside on a day like this" he asks just as suspiciously
"Uh" Hermione stutters
Snape raises his eyebrow at her.
"We were just" she attempts to think of more to say but can't think of anything due to the pressure .
"Careful people might think you're..." He pauses to stare at me , I stare back. "Up to something" he finishes not breaking the stare. He then turns and walks away.
"Ok but now what do we do?" Ron Asks us "Snape is on to us"
"We go down the trapdoor" I say "tonight"
