Y/n's POV
I wake up and look around the dorm and I notice that no one else is awake yet. I check my watch and see that it's 6:30, I have to be up in half an hour so I decide to put on a jumper and go to the common room and read a book.
I sit down on the couch and get out my book and begin reading. A few minutes later I hear someone coming down the stairs, I look up and see Harry.
"Oh hey Harry" I say
"Hey Y/n" he replies "what are you doing up?"
"Oh I woke up early" I reply "how about you?"
"Same" he replies as he rubs his eyes
"Do you wanna sit down?" I ask him because he's just awkwardly standing at the door way
"Oh right yeah" he laughs as he takes a seat next to me
"What are you reading?" He asks me
"Hogwarts A History" I reply "Hermione let me borrow it because she insisted that I read it"
"I tried reading it once and I got bored" he laughs
I just laugh and continue reading my book.
Harry's POV
I look over at Y/n, she looks so cute. She has her hair in plaits and she's wearing a grey Gryffindor jumper with black leggings. I debate weather or not to tell her how I feel about her but I decide not to as I fear rejection. Stupid I know.
I don't realise how long I've been looking until she notices me staring and looks at me which causes me to look away and I feel my cheeks heating up.
Y/n's POV
I notice Harry staring at me so I look over at him and he looks away and starts blushing and I feel my own cheeks heating up as well.
"Do you think it's gonna work?" I ask him to break the silence
"What?" He asks me
"The polyjuice potion" I reply
"It will do Y/n don't worry" he says
"Ok" I say as I look down at my book again
"Y/n?" Harry asks me
"Yeah?" I reply
"Why don't you think Malfoy is the heir of Slytherin?" He asks
I close my book and look at him.
"I just don't think it's him, I mean yeah he's a git but he wouldn't kill" I reply
"True" He says "but we have to make sure"
"Yeah I know" I say
I check my watch and see that everyone else will be waking up round about now.
"I have to go" I say to Harry "everyone else will be waking up now"
"Yeah ok" he says as we both stand up
"See you at Breakfast Harry" I say to him
"See you Y/n" he says
I hug him and walk back to the girls dormitory.
"Where have you been?" Hermione asks me , raising her eyebrow as I walk into the dormitory.
"I was in the common room reading the book you gave me" I say as I lay out my robes on my bed
"And?" She asks
"That's it" I reply
"Are you sure?" She asks "because you're red as a tomato"
