Chapter 6

Your POV:

Hermione, Harry and I walk into Flourish and Blotts to see everyone crowded around the front. I push my way through the crowd of people until i see a group of redheads standing near the front of the mass of people.

We walk over and Mrs Weasley sighs in relief. "Oh Harry Thank goodness! We'd hoped you'd only gone one grate too far" she says dusting him off

Hmmm.. that sounds interesting, I'll definitely have to ask Harry about that later on.

Mrs Weasley wraps her arms around me and pulls me into a huge hug.
"Y/n! Oh it's so nice to finally meet you. Of course Ron's told us all about you. Didn't you have another friend , Ron said something about that?" She asked

"Oh yes my friend Tia" I reply "I don't know where she is at the moment"

"No worries then and Hermione-say where is she?" She says looking around , I crane my neck and see her talking with Ron. I smirk and Mrs Weasley winks at me. "Best say my hello later then, she looks a bit busy at the moment"

I really like Mrs Weasley. She's super sweet and really fun. "It's great to meet you too Mrs Weasley" I reply politely, smiling at her

She shakes her head. "Now now dear. You call me Molly" she gives me a warm smile which I return and I walk over to where Ron is standing with Harry , Hermione and a small red headed girl which I assume is Ron's sister.

"Hello Ron" I say as I reach my group of friends

"Y/n!" Ron says "it's so good to see you"

"It's lovely to see you too" I say

He pulls me into a hug which I return.

I pull away and see Harry looking a bit uneasy.
"You alright Harry?" I ask him

He snaps out of his thoughts.
"Oh yeah I'm just daydreaming" he replies

I nod my head and turn around to Ron's little sister.

"Hey I don't believe we've met. I'm
Y/n L/n. I'm one of Ron's friends. You are?" I ask politely

"I'm Ginny" she replies shyly

Hermione also introduces herself to Ginny and then we all turn as someone says "Ladies and Gentlemen, Mr Gilderoy Lockhart"

"Here he is!" Molly gasps

The crowd of people begin clapping madly and whispering among themselves.
A man with Golden Blonde hair and a blue suit walks into view and people continue clapping. Ron nudges us and says "Mum fancies him"

Molly swats Ron on the back of the head but then turns her attention back to Lockhart. I feel myself get pushed to the side as a reporter comes through shoving people out of the way.
"Make way please! Excuse me little girl! This is for the Daily Prophet"

The photographer points his camera at Lockhart who flashes a bright smile. He continues smiling and looks around at the cluster of people who are waiting eagerly to hear him speak. While he scans through the crowd , his eyes land on Harry and his expression changes. "It can't be Harry Potter?"

Everyone looks towards Harry and he looks at me with a worried glance on his face. I just shrug at him as the photographer grabs him by the collar of his shirt and drags him forward.
"Harry Potter!" He exclaims as he pushes him beside Lockhart.

Lockhart then grabs him and points to the camera. "Nice big smiles Harry. Together you and I rate the front page"
Lockhart clears his throat.
"Ladies and Gentlemen what an extraordinary moment this is. When young Harry stepped into Flourish and Blotts this morning to purchase my autobiography, Magical Me..."
He pauses and everyone claps. I look over at Hermione who has a weird dreamy expression on her face. I roll my eyes along with Ron as Lockhart continues. "Which incidentally is currently celebrating its 27th week atop the Daily Prophet bestseller list, he had no idea that he would be leaving...with my...entire collected works...free of charge. Now ladies" he finishes as he pushes Harry aside and sits down with a pen in his hand.

Molly squeals as Harry approaches us.
"Harry you give me those and I'll get them signed. All of you wait outside" she directs

We all head towards the entrance and I nudge Ron who just starts laughing. We both run in front of Harry pretending to take pictures "Big smiles Harry, big smiles" Ron says

Harry Rolls his eyes but smiles anyway. "Oh shut it you two"

Ron and I just burst out into laughter again.

We walk towards the exit to where the others are waiting but just as we're about to leave , Draco runs down the staircase and stands in front of us.

"Bet you loved that didn't you Potter? Famous Harry Potter, can't even go into a bookshop without making the front page" he spits

Ginny steps forward in front of Harry and stares up at Draco.
"Leave him alone!" She says

Draco scoffs and looks down at her and then back up at Harry.
"Oh look Potter, got yourself a girlfriend" he laughs as he rolls his eyes.

I see a tall man come behind Draco and tap some cane thing on his shoulder. One look at the man and I know he's Draco's father. Same features, same eyes , same white blonde hair although his fathers hair is much longer.
"Now now Draco , play nicely" he says in a fake tone before returning to Harry.
"Mr Potter, Lucius Malfoy. We meet at last. Forgive me..." he pulls Harry forward and studies his scar. "Your scar is legend , as of course is the wizard who gave it you"

"Voldemort killed my parents, he was nothing more than a murderer" Harry says looking him dead in the eye.

Lucius lets go of Harry and continues the intense staring contest. "You must be very brave to mention his name. Or very foolish"

"Fear of a name only increases fear of the thing itself" Hermione and I say at the same time

Lucius turns his attention to us.
"And you must be Miss Granger and Miss L/n" Draco nods his head from behind us.
"Yes, Draco's told me all about you two. Your parents. Muggles aren't they?" He Asks

I turn around and see my parents talking to Hermione's parents, I turn my head back to Lucius and Hermione and I just glare at him.

He walks away from us and over to Ron and his siblings. "Now let me guess...Red hair...vacant expressions..." he reaches his hand into Ginny's Cauldron and takes out a book. "Tattered second hand book. You must be the Weasleys" he says with disgust

"Children it's mad in here. Let's go outside" says Arthur Weasley from behind us

"Well well well...Weasley senior" Draco's father says

"Lucius" Mr Weasley replies bluntly

"Busy time at the Ministry Arthur, all those extra raids? I do hope they're paying you overtime, but judging by the state of this , I'd say not" he says as he holds Ginny's book in his hand. "What's the use of being a disgrace to the name of wizard if they don't even pay you well for it"

Mr Weasley glares at him. "We have a very different idea of what disgraces the name of wizard...Malfoy" he says

Lucius drops the book back into Ginny's Cauldron and scoffs.
"See you at work" he says to Mr Weasley as he walks away
Draco steps in front of us and says "see you at school"
He raises his eyebrows at Harry and I and then follows after his father out of the bookstore.
