Harry's POV:
"The three of you realise I presume that over the past few hours you have perhaps broken a dozen school rules" Dumbledore says to us
Ron, Draco and I are stood in Dumbledores office after we saved Ginny.
"And I have sufficient evidence to have the three of you expelled" he says
"Yes sir" we all say
"Therefore it is only fitting that the three of you receive special awards for services to the school" Dumbledore says and nods at us
I just look over at Draco and Ron who look very relieved that we've not been expelled, I can't even begin to imagine how mad Draco's father would have been.
"Thanks Sir" Draco says to him
"Now Mr Weasley, Mr Malfoy if the both of you would have an owl deliver these release papers to Azkaban, I believe we want our games keeper back"
He hands Ron and Draco an envelope and they both leave the room.
"Harry" Dumbledore says to me "first I want to thank you, you must have shown me great loyalty down in the chamber , only that would have called Fawkes to you"
"And second, I can sense that something is troubling you am I right Harry?" He asks as he walks towards me
I turn to face him.
"I can't help but notice certain things, certain similarities between Tom riddle and me" I say to him
"You can speak parseltounge Harry" he says "why?"
I just shrug my shoulders, I honestly have no idea.
"Because Lord Voldemort can speak Parseltounge, if I'm not mistaken Harry Voldemort transferred some of his powers to you the night he gave you that scar" he says
My mouth just hangs open in disbelief. This is probably the most shocking thing I've heard all day and I've heard a lot of things.
"Voldemort transferred some of his powers to me?" I ask him
"Not intentionally but yes" he nods as he walks over to his desk
"So the sorting hat was right, I should be in Slytherin" I say
"Yes Harry you posses many of the qualities as Tom Riddle, determination, resourcefulness and if you don't mind me saying a certain disregard for the rules" he says
His last sentence makes me smile.
"By then did the sorting hat place you in Gryffindor?" He asks
"Because I asked it to" I say
"Exactly Harry, exactly which makes you different from Voldemort. It is not our abilities that shape who we are it is our choices" Dumbledore says to me
"And if you want proof of why you should be in Gryffindor I suggest you look more closely at this" he picks up the sword that I used to kill the basilisk and hands it to me
I pick it up and look at it. "Godric Gryffindor" I read off the Sword
"It would take a true Gryffindor to pull that out of the hat" he says to me and I smile
