Must get promoted. Must be stronger. Must get attention! Must, must, must, must be better than the rest! The selfish thoughts of a certain investigator, an obsessed one at that. And this investor's name, is Kuki Urie.
Urie had his day off from work today, so all he could do today was either train or stay home and tidy things up a bit. It was raining today, and the gym was closed, so he had to choose the ladder.
A few blankets have been sprawled across the floor, probably due to Saiko's movie/game night. She really takes too many opportunity when it comes to goofing around. Though she has been taking things a little more seriously since Shirazu... It has been a while since then though, and a lot of other things happened. It didn't have to be about Shirazu.
The rest of the Qs had stuff to be doing, so Urie was basically alone. Though Yonebayashi and Mutsuki were still home. Yonebayashi wasn't feeling so well, and ended up with a little cold. While Mutsuki...well... Is here to heal mentally. He has had trouble with it since his time on Rushima.
As Urie is scrubbing the wooden floors from snack crumbs, Mutsuki walks in, all confused.
"Oh, hey Mutsuki. I'm just cleaning the mess Saiko made." Mutsuki nods to that.
Urie looks up at Mutsuki once he has finished. "We could sit down and talk if you wish to..." Urie informs. Mutsuki is extremely hesitant. "I don't know..."
Urie knew he was biologically female, since he told him and Yonebayashi about it during the battle against Dragon. But he knew that Mutsuki was still struggling with what or who he was as a person. So he had to order him to sit and talk as his superior.
"Sit, Mutsuki." He orders him. Mutsuki nods and takes a seat on the couch. Urie looks again at Mutsuki, paying more attention to his appearance. His pale white hair with a tint of light green was pretty amusing. His tan skin was very...eye catching. But soon Mutsuki felt very uncomfortable.
"Urie...please stop starring, I hate being looked over..." At least he was honest. "Oh, sorry Mutsuki. I just... Sorry." Mutsuki nods. "Mutsuki, you can tell me anything, I won't judge or tell anyone else." Mutsuki stays silent. Urie needs him to open up. It has been almost over a year since the battle of Dragon.
"Tell me about it, Mutsuki!" Mutsuki flinches. "Sorry..." "It's alright Urie, I deserve this." Urie blinks in confusion. "What do you mean that you 'deserve this'?" "N-Nothing sir...!" "Mutsuki, you will tell me...!" "I...this is my punishment... I'm so sorry to bother you. Maybe I should leave..." "Stay Mutsuki!" So he does.
"So what do you want me to talk about...?" "First, how did you feel about...what happened to you...on Rushima...?" Mutsuki covers his ears. "I-I...I can't!" Urie reassures him. "Yes you can! You are strong for going through it, but you need to let it all out!" Mutsuki is on the verge of tears, but holds back trying to be strong. He takes a deep breath. "Ok...ok...I will..." Urie gets up.
"I'll make y- US some tea. Wait here and take a break." Mutsuki nods. It happened so long ago, but nobody knew what happened there. They found Torso's corpse...but...
Urie comes back with tea. "Now, slowly...say only what you can say..." They both take a sip from their tea. And soon, Mutsuki begins.
Mutsuki tells about how Torso knew he was female, and very soon, got extremely attracted to him. And when he was on Rushima with...Hachikawa And Hogi. And how they were attacked by Owl and that other ghoul... When Hogi and Mutsuki were forced into hiding in a cave, when Torso attacked. Next thing Mutsuki knew, he couldn't move his arms or legs, only to realize that Torso chopped them off to keep him from running or fighting back. Torso had then basically forced Mutsuki to marry him. A lot of the time when Mutsuki made a face or said something Torso didn't like, Torso would beat him. So Mutsuki's best bet was to look happy and say the right things, just not to get beaten. Then one day, Torso was trying to carry Mutsuki to a place he thought he would like, only for Mutsuki to fight back.
Torso knocked Mutsuki out, and memories from Mutsuki's past was flashing before him. Memories he'd rather not talk about, and Urie was alright with that. Next thing he knew, he woke up to holding Torso's limb and seeing his decapitated body.
When Mutsuki was done, not a single tear fall from his eyes, he felt a little better about it. But Mutsuki knew, a lot more needed to be explained. Not just about what happened to him on Rushima, but anything else going on.
"Mutsuki...are you uncomfortable about being a girl?" Mutsuki sighed and brought his legs closer together trying to ignore the fact. "Frankly yes, but not for the reason you might think..." Urie tilts his head. "What, how?" "Well, I can be acceptable, and comfortable, about being female. There's a lot of things about it that make me uncomfortable..." Urie makes a motion that is a way of telling him 'you don't have to talk about it, but I'm here to listen'. So he continues. "I don't like the stares from random people...it reminds of...something from my life." Urie nods.
"Do you want to be a man...?" "Well... Yes and no." "What does that mean...?" Mutsuki tugs his own shirt. "I...I want to be a girl, but I also want to be a boy... I'm so confused about it. What do I do? What do you think I should do, Urie...?" Urie thinks a little. "Mutsuki, I have a few ideas, but we should both be open about it..." Mutsuki then confesses. "You do know that I like guys, right?" Urie blushes. Remembering that Mutsuki told him, he loved Sasaki. "...Sure I do." He continues. "Um, well you could still choose to be a guy and just like other guys, or you could be a woman and still like guys, or..." "Yes...?" "You wouldn't have to choose. You would just be a woman some days, and a man other days. Or you could be a man in public, and be a woman at home. The possibilities are endless for you." Mutsuki blushes, but still keeps a straight face. "You're not disgusted with this topic...?" Urie tilts his head. "Why would I be...? We're teammates, and I'm the leader, I want to support my team..."
Urie sure has changed, he's basically not even himself anymore. "You're starting to sound like Sensei, Urie!" Mutsuki covers his mouth in shock of what he just said. But Urie wasn't mad, in fact, it was rather funny to him. "Heh, I guess I am. You're right." Mutsuki smiles, for the first time in a while.
Urie gets up. "Remember what I said..." Mutsuki nods, and Urie starts walking off. But he then turns back and looks at Mutsuki. His hair is long, longer than when they first met. A little too girly for Urie's taste. "Hey, Mutsuki!" Mutsuki looks at him. "Hmm...? What is it?" "You should get a haircut, long hair isn't much of your style!" Mutsuki blushes hard and covers his own hair. And with that Urie leaves.
But as he leaves, Mutsuki thinks to himself. 'I'll be a girl as long as you're the one that sees me being a girl...' And Mutsuki starts to blush and continues to think. 'And I'll be a boy around others that don't really know me...' He/she blushes harder. "Muzi~! Are you there? I need medical attention!" He heard Saiko. Muzi, a nickname Saiko gave him. "Coming Saiko!" Mutsuki stands up and walks towards Saiko's room.
