I care (Kuro!Kaneki x Touka) -Ending

Kaneki leans over the koi pond. "Touka look at that one, it's the same color as your hair!" Touka grabs a hold of him. "Ken, be careful! You were so close to falling!" Kaneki chuckles nervously and rubs the back of his head. "Sorry, I didn't mean to worry you..." Touka blushes immensely. "I-I wasn't worried, lug head!"

Kaneki smiles warmly. This was their forth date, and they decided to go the aquarium for it. The dates before have been fantastic and enjoyable, but this one would probably added the cherry on top for their relationship.

"Come on Ken, let's check out the baby turtles. I saw that they were going to hatch today!" She holds his hand tightly. "Come on, come on! I've waited months for this!" "Haha, take it easy Touka. You seem extremely excited for it!"

Touka pauses, then blushes softly. She clears her throat. "Well...BABY TURTLES ARE BABY TURTLES!" Kaneki laughs gently. "Can't argue with that, let's go than."

The pair start walking outside to get into the other building, Touka suddenly yanks him away as they walk. Kaneki turns to her. "Touka...?" "Watch it Ken, you almost stepped into that puddle, nearly ruining your shoes!" Kaneki looks down at his feet, seeing the reflective puddle. "O-Oh, right! My bad..." Touka smirks.

They soon make it into the other building of the aquarium, the very first thing they see are signs for directions to the baby turtles hatching. "I guess they didn't want families to become lost and miss out on it..." Stated Kaneki, and Touka nods in response.

"Seems like the most logical conclusion." Kaneki holds on tightly to Touka's hand, Touka does the same thing in return. They eventually make it to the baby turtles hatching center.

Touka and Kaneki get pretty close seats, as they watched intensely.

Soon, the first turtle hatches. Touka gasps. "Oh my gosh, it's happening! You can do it little guy...!" She whispers softly. Kaneki smiles warmly.

They watch as each individual egg begin to crack, not knowing how long it would take for each one of them to escape their shell. Kaneki holds Touka's hand gently, leaning his head on hers.

"They seem so small, why don't their parents stay to watch over them?" Touka asks, and Kaneki shrugs. "Well...maybe they learn better on their own." Touka scoffs. "I guess so."

After about thirty minutes of them watching, they leave the aquarium. Touka takes Kaneki out for a walk to his place, and she turns to him.

"Hey Ken, did you have fun?" Kaneki nods cheerfully. "Yeah I did! I never went into an aquarium before, and I'm glad it was with you. You seemed interested in that kind of stuff." Touka blushes lightly. "Well...Yoriko took me there. Once I told her I never went into one myself, she kept on insisting that her and her family would take me. Mind you, we were only friends for two weeks at that time, and she still wanted me to go."

Kaneki chuckles lightly. "Yeah, some people are like that as friends. Like one time, Hide was planning for me to come over to his house after being friends for about...four days!" "Oh my god, really? Four days? Now that is short." Kaneki shrugs. "We were kids at that time, so I didn't know what to think about it. But it really did feel nice that he cared about me that much."

Touka blushes lightly. "We're almost there, Ken." "Hey, Touka?" She turns to him. "Hmm, what is it Ken?" "I-I really...care about you." "Oh yeah?" He nods. "Yeah, I wanted to tell you that for a while now. Remember when I told you that I would be sad if you died?" "Of course I do, we talked about that."

Kaneki blushes and looks down at his feet. "Well...I said that because I really care about you. Sure you have been harsh, but the more I think about it, the more I realized...under circumstances you were in you had to be that way. But I see times when you're kind, like with Hinami, and I can see something warm underneath that cold hard shell. I really care Touka." Touka tilts her head.

"Why are you telling me this, Ken?" Kaneki looks into her eyes. "Because I want you to realize that you don't have to do things on your own, I'm here for you, we're all here for you! So please, don't fight by yourself, let me help more. Like that time when..." Touka sighs. "When Hinami lost her mom, right?" Touka asks.

Kaneki nods. "I'm sorry, forget I said that." "No, I appreciate you saying that, I know it took a lot for you to say that." Kaneki blushes immensely.

Touka looks to her right. "Looks like we're here... Well, I'll see you around." "Wait, Touka!" She turns to him.

"Yeah, what is it?" "We've been on a few dates so far, and..." Touka scoffs. "Come on, spit it out!" Kaneki gulps. "C-Can we be boyfriend and girlfriend?" Touka smiles warmly, walking up to him and kissing his cheek.

"I like that idea." Kaneki smiles widely. "G-Great! I'll see you around, b-b-babe!" 'Babe?' Touka thought. Kaneki bows and heads his way into his apartment.

Touka begins walking away. 'I like this, maybe he's the one. At least I hope so...' Touka blushes and smiles softly. 'My cute little boyfriend.'
