Very despicable (Black reaper!Kaneki x Eto)

Note: This is yet another request, and so I hope you enjoy it.

"See you again...Takatsuki." The newly awakened Kaneki had said, as he witnessed the Owl fall to her apparent doom. Kaneki had a feeling that even though half of her body was gone, and her fall, that isn't enough for her demise. Looks like he has to put in the extra work in doing so. Though...she might actually be of use.

"So hungry. That fight must've taken a lot out of me..." He leaps up onto the platform with the Owl's Kagune. Taking bite after bite, piece after piece, until his stomach is satisfied. All of a sudden, he hears a familiar voice calling from behind.

"Sasaki! How was the-?" The voice stops once he saw what he was doing. 'Heh, that's right. They still know me as Haise Sasaki.' Kaneki turns to face his company. "Investigator Ui, the Owl is still out there... And the Gourmet, well, he's right over there." Turning his direction to the said ghoul, Kaneki states, "I'll dispatch of him real quick. Hang on."

And he does just that, dropping him on the edge. However, the ghoul named Kanae goes after him. And with that, he leaves.

"How do I catch you? How do I find proof that you are Owl?" Kaneki says to himself. This might be a little more challenging than he thought.

"I need to..." Then he thought of something... She did tell him that she was rather fond of him. He needs to speak with her. But where can he find her?

He goes into town, it starts to rain. He goes to cafe to cafe, if she was anywhere, it would most likely be at a cafe. He goes to his first pick. She's not there. His second pick, not there ether. This continues for a while, until he has gone to all of the cafes in town. 'Of course she's not here. It's pretty obvious that she would skip town, she's smarter than that. I guess I have to go look in a different area.' He thinks to himself. But just then...

"Looking for me?" He hears an awfully familiar voice coming from behind him. 'No, it can't be...' He turns around only to see, that it is indeed her.

He turns back around and replies. "You know, it's not very safe to stay here. Especially since I saw your face, Takatsuki. Or should I say...Yoshimura?" Kaneki couldn't see it, but all she did was smile.

"I could say the same about you Haise Sasaki, or shall I say...Ken Kaneki." He stays silent. "Well since, you know, you've gotten your memory back. They're sure to come after you eventually." Kaneki scoffs. "Would be interesting to see them try..." It it dead silent, all that is heard is the sound of rain.

"Takatsuki, I would like a word with you..." He says still facing away from the female. She smiles. "Consider it done..." She walks up to him, and continues. "Where shall we sit, tough guy?" He just walks away, and catches a quick glance. "...Follow me..." And she does just that.

They end up going to a rather secluded area, which no one can listen in.

"So, you going to ask questions or what?" She asks playfully. "Yeah..." He pauses. "What do you want with me...?" The question sort of confused the author. She laughs. "I should be asking you that question!" "Just give me an answer." She smirks. "Very well..." She pauses.

"Let's just say...I haven't met any other half ghoul. Sure there were the sisters, and..." "Owl, T-Owl? Takizawa?" She nods. "And another, but I'd rather not go there." "But, why did you make another one? Why did you create another half breed?" She rest her head on the palm of her hand. "Isn't that obvious? We wanted to make another one like you." "What?" "You were quite impressive, well developed. You had, and still have potential." "If that's why you want me, why couldn't you settle with T-Owl?" She bursts out laughing. "Are you kidding?! God, you're clueless!" She keeps laughing. Once her laughing has died down a little, she continues speaking.

"Sure, he may be the 'new you', but he really is nothing compared to you. He lacks quite a chunk of emotions and interests. He's bland when it comes to personality, is what I'm trying to say." Kaneki places his hands on the seat. "What personality could I possibly have that you love?" She chuckled.

"From what I can tell, you want to make your mark on this hellish rock we call home. You feel empty, and so you make up for that through creating bonds. Much like myself..." How did she know all this? "But enough of this topic, Sasaki, I would love to learn more about you. How in the world did you get into my writing?" Kaneki shrugs. "At the time, I related to your novels. But from when I was Haise, I only saw them as a little too tragic. But now...I can relate to them." "Oh...? Is that so?" Kaneki nods. "But...this might be hard to request, but..." "Yes...?" "I need your help." Eto tilts her head. "It's about Fueguchi." "...Hina? What about her?" Kaneki explains his plan about how he wants to catch Eto and place her inside of Coclea to get himself inside to shut down the systems. Eto smiles to herself.

"My, what a kind act. I must admit, I didn't think you were that thoughtful. Especially since you almost killed me." "Yeah, sorry." He says with almost no emotion. "It is what it is. And besides, I tried to kill you, so it was only fair." "So will you help me? I know it's a lot to ask." "Sure I can. But under one condition..." "And that would be?" "We go out and talk to each other more..." Kaneki laughs mentally, she's acting like a teenager waiting for a date.

"Um, why?" She smiles widely. "Because I like you." Kaneki didn't know how to respond, he was certainly interested in her as well, but like this? 'Whatever, you only live once I guess.' He thought to himself.

"Fine, if we survive this, we will." "Splendid! Oh, one more condition, in case we don't survive this... Close your eyes!" "Uh, what are you planning?" "Do you want my help or not? Just do it." He does what she tells him.

He suddenly feels something soft and cold placed on his lips. Then suddenly, it's off of his lips. "You can open your eyes now..." Eto tells him. Things are quiet for a while. Then Eto speaks up.

"Confront my editor, he will give you all information the CCG wants. Enough to put me into custody. Good luck!" With that, she leaves. 'I hope she survives through this, she has great potential to change this world... Will she be sad if I am to die? Or would she move on?' Maybe Kaneki should find out himself. 'She would make a wonderful companion...' What he was thinking was pretty crazy, but it doesn't hurt to imagine.
