Pained (Ghoul!Seidou x Kanae/Karren) -Part 2

"Alright, your eyes are still functioning quite well..." Kanou tells Takizawa as he shines a light in his eyes. "Say 'aah'...!" Takizawa doesn't oblige. "Come on Takizawa, this is for your own good..." Takizawa sighs in defeat, then opens his mouth, while ridiculously saying 'aah'.

"There we go... You can close your mouth now." And so he does.

Earlier Takizawa was in his room alone, sad and lonely when Kanae was taken away. He was alone until one of Kanou's assistants came by to tell him Kanou needed him for a typical checkup.

Kanou sits up from his seat.

"Has your sleeping pattern been improving at all?" Takizawa shakes his head negatively. "Not at all..." Takizawa stated in a disappointed tone of voice. Kanou sighs.

"Would you care to share, this time...?" Takizawa leans forward. "I'm fine..." He says before leaning back into his seat. Kanou continues. "Because you've been like this for about...eight months now. And I have seen cases like this when-..." "I said I'm fine."

Kanou sighs. "You know this isn't good for your physical health, maybe the medication isn't working..."

Takizawa chuckles. "'Not good for my physical health', huh? Yeah maybe cutting my limbs off and tearing my stomach open is completely fine, but me not being able to sleep? That's a huge no no." Kanou sighs. "Oh here we go again..."

"What? I'm just pointing out logic, I would assume someone like you would see it." Kanou clears his throat. "None of what you just described happened for...quite a while now." Takizawa laughs softly. "Sorry if something from the past still affects me, maybe I should get therapy." He jokes.

Kanou sighs. "Or you could try this new medication for about a week..." "Can't I just leave now, I hate the medications." "There really is no reasoning with you; take the medication."

Kanou hands the medicine to the artificial ghoul, and Takizawa snatches it away.

As Takizawa was about to leave, a question came to mind.

"Hey...have you...seen the new ghoul yet?" Kanou looks up. "Which one, I saw plenty of ghouls today." Takizawa scoffs. "The Rosewald one, the female ghoul with a long curled side bang, she was with Tatara earlier today."

"Oh that ghoul! Yes I've seen her with Tatara. What about her?"

Takizawa puts on a serious expression. "You didn't...do anything to her, did you?" Kanou scoffs. "Of course not! Though, she did carry a lot of potential. No, she's left for Eto to deal with..." Takizawa sighs.

"Kay, bye." And he just leaves.

Takizawa follows the scent of Kanae. 'Which room was she put into...?' He thinks while still following the scent. He circled around a few times trying to find the scent, like a bloodhound.

'I smell her...I smell her!' He runs in the direction where the scent can be followed. It leads him to a door, he leans next to it. Soon after, he hears the screams of a female.

"No! Please! Not my eyes! Why are you doing this, what did I ever do to you?!" 'Kanae!' Takizawa wanted so badly to barge in and save the poor girl, but he knew he couldn't without consequences.

'I will be here to help heal your wounds once it's done... I won't leave you alone...'

Takizawa felt great sympathy for Kanae, he too knew the feeling of great pain, loneliness, and embarrassment. He didn't want Kanae to feel alone.

'Why am I thinking this way? It's so not like me, even if I was my old self...' Takizawa felt confused, but just didn't care too much about it.

The screaming stops and soon after, Eto leaves the room. She passes by Takizawa, looking back at him. She puts on a smug smirk.
