Tokyo Ghoul one shots

Odd circumstances (Human!Seidou x Kanae/Karren) -Part 4

Kanae stands there at the opposite side of the glass barrier, holding onto her forehead. She looks up at the male human.

"A-And you're sure about that...?" Seidou nods slightly. "H-How...? How can you be sure?" Seidou sighs. "I was doing some of my own personal research, and I found some files about you and your family. It talked a lot about the investigators tracking your parents down and leading them to you, your brothers, and your home." Seidou pauses to allow the female to process the information. He then continues.

"The person who wrote the report confirmed to have indeed killed your parents. But they also mention an order to spare the children. In other words, you and your brothers." Kanae jolts up at him. "Why...?" Seidou shrugs. "It wasn't completely clear exactly why, but it could have something to do with the Rosewald family line being a good quality of ghoul, perfect for quinque weapons. As well as experiments..." "That's allowed?!" "Maybe restrictions are different in Germany than Japan, or so they claimed."

Kanae shakes her head in denial. "No...No, no! They're using my brothers for...quinques?! Are they hens to the bastards?!" "But what worries me truly, they could've killed your brothers by now. I hope it isn't the case..." Kanae looks at him suspiciously. "Why do you care...? You don't even know them." "I... Well..." Seidou sighs deeply. "You've told me plenty about them, and...I honestly feel bad. Your parents were the ones doing the killing, and all you three did was be born into the family. I still have a harsh mind set on ghouls, but if there are more to ghouls than we believe there to be, than I think we should try!" Kanae chuckles lightly.

"We'll see about that..." Kanae smiles slightly. "Seidou... Thank you for telling me this. I owe you a lot." Seidou smiles widely. "It's the least I could do for you."

The pair continue to converse. Seidou wishing to ask all the questions he desired. Them both sitting down.

"Kanae...? What's your favorite season?" Kanae looks over at him. "What made you ask that?" "I just...want to know." Kanae smiles warmly. "I would say Spring. You guys here have quite the flower growth here..." Seidou giggles. "Why, thank you."

"And you, Seidou?" Seidou smiles. "Stuck between Summer and Autumn." "Can't pick one, huh?" He shakes his head. "That's alright, I guess."

"What's your outlook on life, Kanae?" Kanae sighs. "I want to be able to have a reason for living. And to live as, and for myself. Truth was...I always saw myself as a female, but I...wanted to honor my father's wish. To pass down the family name." Seidou scoffs. "Sounds kind of selfish... But I do see where he is coming from." Kanae chuckles.

"Now you tell me yours!" Seidou clears his throat.

"Well I did see all ghouls as evil, and all humans as pure. But you did kind of debunk that idea." Kanae laughs hysterically. Seidou chuckles nervously.

Time passes between the two as it is soon time for Seidou to get going.

"Ah Damn...looks like it's about that time." "Oh...really...?" Seidou nods. "I don't think I'll have a day off anytime soon, so count on me coming back!" Kanae chuckles. "I'll keep that in mind. Have a nice one, Seidou." "You too!" And just like that, he leaves.

Seidou makes it to the parking lot, getting to his car. He begins thinking about Kanae, her beautiful appearance, her attractive accent, and her blinding personality. Seidou felt his heart throb uncontrollably, it feels as if it would jump out from his chest. He begins to pant to try and calm himself down.

He couldn't deny how he felt about the female, so he just accepted it.

He hops inside of his car, buckling up. He looks over at the German learning discs on the passenger seat, he grabs it and plays it.
