CHAPTER 2 : AN USUAL DAY

Present Day.....

Seconds gave way to minutes and hours as each day added up to make weeks and months. Time had wings attached to it as it flew. It had been six years since the incident which makes THE RAIZADA's life upside down. They all had moved on in their lives, apparently but something is amiss and they all know what it is. With a deep sigh Devjani Singh Raizada stands infront of her Devi Maiya for morning prayer, along with her family. Elder son Arvind Singh Raizada, younger son Monahor Singh Raizada, daughter in laws Ratna and Manorama. Devjani does not sure about that are They all praying their devotion or searching solace or seeking forgiveness from the Goddess.. as for her, Devjani needs strength, strength to protect her family from every evil eyes and she is waiting for her Devi maiya's justice. She knows the days is no far, something is going to happen, her intuition never goes wrong.

After completing the prayer, everyone was on dinning table for breakfast. From her EAGLE eye, Devjani observes, everyone is present here, everyone EXCEPT their CHOTEY... ARNAV...with an questionable eyes, Devjani asked Ratna the unavoidable, though she knows the answer somewhere, " Ratna, where is chotey?" " I don't know anything about Arnav maa and I had better things to do,"..

A pregnant silence replaced the little bit of chattering which was going on there, 6 years, six long years passed , still Ratna Singh Raizada did not find herself strong enough to forgive her son Arnav , her Chotey...every one of the family knows what Arnav means to Ratna. Among all the three children of Her Ratna was always a little bit of partial towards her Chotey. Her elder daughter Anjali was always papa's princess, close to Arvind. Now even after 10 years of her marriage with famous criminal lawyer Shyam Manohar Jha, and having a beautiful daughter of 6 years, still Anjali is Arvind's apple of eyes. 

Their elder son, Akash Singh Raizada was always way to mature as per his age. Intelligent, studious, gentle, organized and from the very beginning he knows what he wants to do in life.. Thus it's become no surprise for the Raizada when Akash denied to join family business rather pursued his medical career. And Now he is one of the famous Pediatrician of this country. After proving himself, as a best son, best grandson, and somewhere best brother, Akash Singh Raizada is proving himself as a best Husband too. He has been married to his lady love Payal Sharma for last 1 year 6 months, now and expecting their first child within few months.. 

Ratna could not control her tears when her thought traveled to her youngest one, her Chotey,..he was the naughtiest kid of this family, even Nikhil Singh Raizada, Manohar and Manorama's Only child, much younger than Arnav , too were mature than him.. Ratna sigh remembering the past. Chotey was always a rebel, rough but gold at heart, bohemian, immature but Never in her wildest dream, Ratna ever thought, her chotey, her dil ka tukda, will do something like that.. Every day, every single day Ratna Singh Raizada asks herself where did she goes wrong.. Why and How thing goes that far?? When her chotey become a stranger that now she denied to recognize Him.. Ratna knows Chotey is repenting badly, basically her Chotey is not Living a life, he is just dragging the burden of his sin.. She knows Arnav needs her, his mother at this time. Many a times in this long six years, Ratna thought to embraces her chotey in her motherly cocoon, but thinking and Doing are altogether a different case. Because every time when Ratna Singh Raizada thinks about her son Arnav, the pain and emptiness of his son and ponder over will she forgive him or not, another pair of hazel eyes comes in front of her eyes. Her unspoken, unasked questions chocked Ratna, still now , even after long six years and A mother again gets defeated in front of a woman.. Unfortunately she don't know when the battle will end, the battle of right and wrong, the battle of heart vs head ... Ratna only realized she was again crying when a pair of hands wipes her tears. Without facing the person she asked, " How long, how long we have to suffer Arvind ji?" "keep faith Ratna, the dark days will ends soon."
