Arnav walked closer to Khushi. " I am not afraid anymore of darkness, because I know no matter how dark and long the tunnel is, there is always light at the end of it. You are my light Khushi and I need you in my life forever, with me." He smiled, gently caressing Khushi's cheek.

" Your hand writing is terrible." Khushi chuckled with tears still rolling down her cheeks.

"Hey." Arnav looked offended. "I tried so hard with that." Khushi rolled her eyes but Arnav's next word stop Khushi's breath..

"Will you marry me Khush?"

Time stopped for both of them. Khushi was frozen in her place, she was too shocked to even move in her place.. She just stood like a statue holding Arnav's love letter in her hand. Arnav was looking at Khushi with hopeful eyes but soon his face turn anxious..

" Kh.. Khush.. are you alright? It's okay if you are not ready, I.. I understand.. I will say " I love you" every second of my life and now I will propose you every single day unless and until you agree to marry me.. Don't feel bad that you are not ready now.. Don't think that I felt bad.. Okay, please... please... say something Khush.. You are scaring me." Arnav said panicking seeing Khushi still in her place not uttering a single word after his marriage proposal.

Finally Khushi looked at Arnav in his eyes. His brown pair of molten eyes were screaming unconditional love for her.. Khushi knew ARNAV truly loves her but is she ready to take the steps? Suddenly Khushi remembered about her childhood.. Her father's betrayal, mother's tears and her destroyed dream of a happy family. Though time had passed, but the scar she carries within her heart is not easy to forget. The concept of marriage is became a dark entity in her life.. Though once her young heart decided to give in years before for Arnav but the same heart again torn apart due the same man she was ready to accept in her life. Khushi felt a sudden ache in her heart.. She wanted to say yes to Arnav and take a leap of faith but did not able to gather her courage on the same. The moments she is spending with Arnav is blissful, golden period of her life and Khushi knew Arnav is genuine in his confession..BUT, still, Khushi remain silent.. Her heart was screaming to say yes but a corner of her heart which still holding the dark memories of her life, made her silence.

Arnav looked at Khushi and one glance made him understand about Khushi's turmoil. Immediately Arnav cupped Khushi's cheek and with so much tender he spoke, " Khush, look at me.. please.."

Khushi looked at him in his eyes with her moist hazel orbs and sobs, " I am sorry Arnav.. I.. I.. I know you love me, I trust you with my life but I lost the faith on my few believes and the horrible memory of my childhood, I just.. I..." Khushi could not complete her words as Arnav wipes her tears and whispered,

" I know baby.. and believe me, it's totally fine. I will wait for you to come to me willingly.. A marriage means togetherness Khushi.. Trusting your partner with your everything without a second thought.. I understand you need time and it's absolutely fine.. It's just that, a man can dream right? In my desperate need to be with you, I just took a chance.. I will take the chance to profess my love to you and propose you everyday and wait till you accept.." Arnav kissed Khushi's forehead softly and that was the last threat of Khushi's restrain..She hugged Arnav with her everything and her silent sob echoed in the poolside..
