Chapter 41

"Happy birthday, anak!" Bungad sa akin ni Mama at Papa sa kwarto ko. I smiled and hugged them.

"Thank you, Ma... Pa," sabi ko.

"Any plans for today?" Tanong ni Mama. "Mamayang gabi, pupunta pa tayo sa mga Simpsons. May party roon... the media and the press are even invited."

Tumango naman ako. "Maybe... I'll just hang out with Grace today."

"Saan kayo pupunta? Huwag kang mag iinom ngayon, may pupuntahan pa tayo mamaya," sabi naman ni Papa. Tumango naman ako sa kaniya.

"May uh... tatambayan lang po saglit."

  Yes. It's my birthday today. I am supposed to hang out with my friends, drink liquor at the bar, and party. But right now, I don't want to do that. I'd rather spend my day investigating about the case regarding what happened to Henry. I just want him to be safe. Us.

  My cellphone rang and it was a call from Grace.

"Happy birthday my dear cousin!" Masaya niyang bati. I chuckled.

"Thank you, couz."

"Any plans for today?" Tanong niya.

I sighed. "Ipagpapatuloy natin ang pag iimbestiga. Gusto ko ring makipag kita kay Luis. I need more information from him."

She sighed deeply. "Couz, it's your birthday today. Why can't you just spend your whole day partying or even just relaxing at home? Mamayang gabi, magkakaroon pa ng party sa mga Simpsons dahil ipapaalam na nila na buhay si Henry!"

"That's my point, Grace. I-I just want everyone to be safe. Lalo na't ipapaalam na nila mamaya, for sure dahil isa sa mga motibong suspect ang mga Gonzales and they are automatically invited at the party later, paniguradong galit ang mga iyon sa mga tauhan nila... and they might... attempt to kill Henry... again."

"You have a point there, Gabb. Why don't you call Henry and let him help us? For sure he already remembers everything?"

I sighed. "I-I'm not sure, couz. Punta ka rito sa bahay. Kotse ko na gagamitin natin."

Ilang minuto lamang ang lumipas at dumating na si Grace sa amin. "Let's go?"

We fetched Luis at their house. Pinasakay lamang namin siya sa loob ng kotse. "Any information?"

"Ma'am," ani Luis. "I got this from one of the employees in the Gonzales' office," sabay abot sa akin ng isang flash drive. "Ang nilalaman nito ay ang pag uusap nina Aldrei Gonzales at ng kaniyang amang si Fred Gonzales."

Sakto naman at dala ko ang laptop ko sa kotse. Now I've got the chance to see what they're up to.

"Pa!" Aldrei spatted at his father. "I can't lose Gabb! I don't want her to be with somebody else! Do something!"

His father looks frustrated. "What do you want, anak?"

Aldrei clenched his fist. "I want Henry dead. He's heading to Palawan for business right? I want. Him. Dead!"

I gasped. I can't believe Aldrei can do this! He's been good to me all these years but I didn't know he has this side? Tumango naman si Tito Fred at may tinawag na hindi hagip ng camera. The captain who we talked to yesterday went to them. And this is it.

"Ikaw na ang naka destino sa Palawan. Ikaw ang maghahatid kay Henry Simpson pero iligaw mo. Huwag mong dadalhin sa Palawan. Make sure na hindi ito malalaman ng kung sino ang mangyayaring ito. Isang bodyguard lamang panigurado ang dadalhin ni Simpson," utos ni Tito Fred. Napaka sama ng mga ugali!

"I'm coming too, Dad," ani Aldrei.

His father was shocked. "No, Aldrei! You can't be seen there! Madadamay ang pamilya natin!"
