«why do you want to get divorced?» the judge forwarded looking in between them for answer.

all she did was to cry, holding the hand of her caregiver, watching her parents creating a war only with their eyes. unfortunately, she, the four years old kid, was the only one who could see it.

«we don't fit together» was her father's response to the attorney.

the funny thing was they married by love. never passed a day without hearing it on repeat, they even made a bedtime story out of it for their daughter to sleep to. but was it too easy to forget all those memories just because of small picky fights? maybe it was.

«you both want this to happen, regardless of the child's custody?» the judge asked them. looking at Jennie with a sympathetic smile, as if being gentle with his gaze on her it will make up for the fact he is about to officially forbid her from warmth of a family.

her eyes darted away from the old man to her father. she caught him staring right back at her softly, like how he wakes her up everyday. then when he looked in front of him meeting with his wife's the softness edged and hardened, it was obvious then how much he disliked her.

it scared Jennie a lot. whenever she caught him looking like that at home.. a huge fight had followed behind. she sought for her mother's comfort like she always does at those times but Jennie found her mother crying into her napkin. she looked exhausted and Jennie knew she didn't want to bear with him anymore.

her soft teddybear, the one they bought for her when she was born was hanging loosely to her hand as she cried hopingly they'll notice her, but she was yet again invisible for the grownups.. she wasn't sick, she wasn't just a kid crying! she needed help.. for her parents, for herself.. for their family!

the nanny couldn't stop her from sobbing out loud, and so she was told to walk the kid out for a bit. but Jennie refused to do it; she couldn't break free from the nurse thus she dropped her plushie reaching out for her mother's love but all was quick and in that chaos Jennie made she still managed to hear the judge granting their wishes..

now that it was set and done with the slam of the gavel, they were freed. yet they forgot about her who was still trapped in their love, that no longer existed for them.. and small Jennie walked through the doors with tears.

twenty two years later Jennie barged out the rooftop door and welcomed the fresh unscented air with wide arms. the slow breeze of the warm afternoon helped to ease the coldness of the hospital upon her skin.

she slowly walked to the corner where they kept some flower pots of different types that eventually became her resting spot and enjoyed watching the busy streets and crowded sidewalks to remind herself she wasn't the only one that lacked freedom.

it was another day of her busy schedule in the hospital. as her father who now held the title as the CEO. Jennie as a surgeon in his team had the responsibility to keep his name high and shiny.

she couldn't be happier to help and save lives, it was good to see scars healing and tears drying out.. they always walked out in a better health and she envied them for surviving such nasty smelling prison, and to be able and chase their dreams.

she couldn't relate.

"oh! there you are!" said Jimin taking her mind off those thoughts.

Jennie turned tiredly to see her goofy rival skipping through the chairs to get to her "what do you want?" she asked in a whine.
