Chapter 11- Father, son day

I woke up to Rain pounding on the windows and thunder rolling in the distance. I open my eyes and stare up at the ceiling I was not in pain today luckily but I will take pain meds just in case.

I take the pain meds with the glass of water next to me. I rolled out of bed and out of my room and into the bathroom. I looked at myself in the mirror. The swelling has gone gone a lot I look my normal self which I was happy about.

I grab my toothbrush and toothbrush and brush my teeth it didn't hurt nearly as bad as yesterday. I rinsed my mouth and flossed.

I headed downstairs and saw Dad reading his novel on the couch.
"Good morning dad" I say

"Morning xavier" he says looking up at me and smiling at me

"So you going to work today?" I ask

"No I was thinking of having a father son day and do whatever you want!" Dad said putting his novel on the table.

"Like what will we do it's raining out" I say pointing to the window.

"We can go to the movies, trampoline park, arcade or something like that" Dad offered

"Well I want to go see that new Toy Story " I offered

"Which one?" Dad says

"Toy story 4" I say

"Oh that one! I've been wanting to see that lately" dad chuckles

Half hour later we pull up in the parking lot of our local movie theater.

We got inside payed for our tickets and got in line for confessions

"Can we get popcorn" I ask

"Well duh it's a movie theater even though it gets stuck in your teeth" dad said

I eye a slushee machine. "Can I have a slushee? Dad! Please" I begged

"Fine. But that's pure sugar I'm not that happy" dad says

We payed for our popcorn, my slushee and dads water. Dad is so boring with just water.

We got our items and headed to the showing room and took our seats.

After the movie was over we left the theater then headed to the huge arcade, basically Dave and busters.

I played so many games and got so many points. I got around 4,000 points.

I was able to get some headphones, some candy( even though dad wasn't really happy) and cotton candy (dad was pissed when I picked that out)

We went home after we went out to eat it was around 6:30 pm when we got home. I had a lot of fun today I love father son days. I hope to do this again very soon. I slump on the couch and start eating the cotton candy

Dad looked at me like I was crazy. "You know that is pure sugar"

He sat next to me in the couch and turned on the tv. "But it's so good I don't care" I laugh

"You will care once you get those cavities and meet my mr. drill" dad says in a serious tone

I looked at him and rolled my eyes and ate more cotton candy. Later that night I went up to my room after brushing and flossing my teeth and fell asleep
