* We're going down together, You me and Emma until the end, Ray*

" Vincent, we're changing our plans"

Vincent didn't quite understand what the Boss meant by that. Was it a change in the date to meet the demons aristocrats? What it a change in the method of the extermination? He sure looked confused. Ray noticed that Norman was sweating, and he had a viscous smile on his face:

" What do you mean boss? Sorry I'm not on track"

" It's exactly that you just heard Vincent... I ordered you to stop the plan immediately. It's over, we are going to make another approach"

" And that is this approach Boss?"

Ray could feel his heart race: He realized that he was acting out of emotions when he was trying to convince Norman about Emma's plan. Maybe, just maybe deep inside him, Ray had hope that, once again, Norman had the power to make Emma's unrealistic plan come to life

Still, that was selfish. Emma's told him about the burden Norman had on his shoulders and Ray felt it too. Now he was puting the world in his shoulders, what a mess. Without realizing, Ray turned Norman into a unstoppable mind capable of anything for Emma's sake

* Man...what have I done? Now Norman isn't just planing genocide... he's going to finish who stands in Emma's way*

" We are not going to kill any demons. We're going to reforge the promise and make every human children cross to the human world"

Ray was sure that for a moment Vincent stopped breathing. Norman still had his cold face put on. Ray was almost trembling from the tension in the air. It smelled like a war was about to blow

" I don't understand Boss...what about the plan you came up with what we were going to up into action? We all agreed that it was a plan with no flaws...the most efficient way to end the suffering of this children?"

" Yes, we indeed agreed on that plan Vincent. Still, Ray talked to me and I realize something... I was wrong"

Vincent had his mouth wide open, his glasses sparkling in the mist of the afternoon sun. Everyone was having a delicious lunch, but Vincent had a bad taste in this mouth:

" Boss... you're never wrong. I know you: Every step you take is the right one "

" Yes Vincent...you all made me bealive that. You all treat me like a god... I made myself bealive that I always had the right answer...but that was just arrogance. Emma was the right answer so we're puting her plan into action"

Ray looked at Norman. What has that? The smile he had was a soft one...he pronounced Emma's name in such a deep way that Ray could swear it came out as a melody, a genuine one. Ray smile has Norman whispered once again to himself

" That's right... Emma's always right. How did I forgot that? "

" Until there's life there is hope, right Norman"

Norman glimpsed at Ray. He had his hand on his should, looking strait into his ocean eyes with this nervous smile of his that never seceded to amaze Norman. He was so moved...he felt so blessed. A tear feel down his cheek:

" You don't have to give up, Norman"

" That's rude Ray, trowing my words back that me"

" Look who's talking, giving me hope like that, you stupid Norman"

There it was: the proof that he was alive. Emma's love and Ray's friendship never failed to move his heart, the one he tought he had lost forever, in the mist of his anger and inability.
