"what do you mean by that, rog?"john asked. roger ignored him walking toward his belongings so he could leave. "roger" john called at him. "ignoring is not the answer" john said. "of course you would say that" roger scoffed with annoyance. "'cause you clearly couldn't ignore what was happening between me and y/n. instead you tried to get in the middle of it and try to fix yourself-"

"roger, you weren't doing anything-"
"so what if i wasn't doing anything?! how does it affect you in any way?! i was waiting for the right time to try and fix myself! you guys are always trying to fix the things i mess up myself, when i can clearly do it myself. so your help is useless because your so called 'plan' didn't work out at the end of the day"

he didn't mean to let his anger out towards them, he wasn't mad at them, he knew they were just trying to help out. the only reason he was mad, was because he was mad at himself for causing all of this.

"please give me a second chance"
he gave her a kiss, but she didn't kiss back. this made him pull away and look at her. "y/n..."
she looked at him with tears wanting to fall out. "i can't give you a second chance roger" her voice in a whisper. "w-why not. i-"

"because i don't trust you with it" she admitted. from the result of her past lovers seconds chances was a thing she kept in a vault. she would give them out and they'll take it and run. they never used it as a redemption but as a way for them to keep doing what they were doing all along. hurting her.

"you don't trust me?" he asked with hurt showing all over his face. "you know i love you"

"that's what they all say roger but they never mean it! you know how many times i gave people another chance and they still hurt me!"

"y/n, i'm not like them. i promise if you give me this other chance, i will never hurt you. i broke your heart once, and doing that killed me"

she looked at him for a few seconds. of course, it was obvious she still loved him, but she couldn't gain the trust she had for him right then.

"i've got to go" she whispered. she opened the door behind her and left out but he grabbed her once again. "roger, let go"
that was the one thing roger didn't want to do. he never wanted to let her go.

y/n sat at home watching a movie. the rain quietly hit the roof of her house as the volume of the tv was low. she went looked over at the clock but her glance left it as a picture of her and roger sat beside it. she looked away from it and turned off the move. she went to her room and laid down in bed listening to the rain. usually, the rain would easily make her fall asleep but tonight wasn't one of those nights.
she couldn't fall asleep knowing that roger was still hurting. that she was still hurting. she thought she made the right choice by not giving him a seconds chance, but that's just how she was feeling at the moment. when she didn't see roger for a month, she was still mad about what he did, but seeing today made those feelings be replaced with sad ones. seeing him made her realize that she missed him a lot.

she looked at her car key on the bedside table, grabbing it and getting out of bed rushing to put on her shoes and a jacket.
she went out of her car, and sat in it. she turned it on and listened to the car engine. she didn't really know if he wanted to see her, especially after what happened. she turned her car back off and let her head fall back onto the seat looking at the steering wheel.

"ok. i'll go, i'll go, i'll go, i'll go" she repeated as she turned her car back on.
when she got to his house, she sat there with her car in park. she was nervous and scared. what if he decided to finally call it a end?
the only way to fin that out is to knock on that door. so, she got out. it felt like with each step she took, her legs were getting weaker and weaker. she pressed the doorbell, hearing the faint noise go throughout the house. she looked down holding her hands and rocking her legs back and forth in the meantime. hearing the door open, she looked up at him.

"y/n..what are you doing here. it's freezing," he pulled her inside closing the door behind him. "and you're here by yourself this late?"

even though they weren't together anymore, he still cared for her wellbeing, even if it meant talking to her when she didn't want to talk to him.

"i just came here cause..." she paused still looking down at her hands. "cause i..."
"are you pregnant?" he questioned. she looked at him. "no," she shook her head. "no. i'm not"
roger mumbled a small 'oh' as silence fell upon the two as they just stood there. suddenly, y/n wrapped her arms around him. "i miss you" she mumbled. "i thought i was doing that right thing, but i wasn't and i'm sorry"
roger pulled away from her. "why are you sorry?"

"cause, i wasn't looking real deep into you," she pointed her hand out at him. "i know you love me, and i know that you're not like the others and it was wrong for me to compare you to them when i know you're far from that. i was angry at you for a whole month but today when i saw you...i don't know, all of this just slapped me in the face." she glanced at him.
"i love you...and i am willing to give you a second chance..."

roger smiled and gave her deep kiss and this time she did give one back. he pulled away caressing her cheek with his thumb.

"i promise, i will never hurt you again"
