the schools hallways was filled with chatter of the students as they headed to the cafeteria. it was the second to last day of school and everyone was making plans for summer break. y/n didn't really have any activities to achieve this summer, the only activity at the moment was listening her friend rant about her boyfriend, Dan.

"and then he hung up in my face after i asked him about it so i was suspicious" selena says as they rounded the corner meeting up with the other two friends in the group. "finally" they heard ron's voice say as him and ben pushed themselves off the wall. ben immediately wrapped his arm around y/n as he caught sight of her.

"either he's cheating or tired of your trust issues" alex says to selena. "hey be nice" ron tapped alex's shoulder. "what?" alex shrugged her shoulders. "that was the reason i called because last night at the party i saw him walk off with a girl after he said he was getting us drink" selena says.

"really?" y/n spoke up with confusion on her face. they say down at the table as the boys left to somewhere else.

"oh that's right, you was getting your bed rocked" alex pointed her finger at her.

"oh my god!" y/n groaned leaning her head back. "i told you i wasn't feeling good last night"

"babe, it's fine that you and ben are on it on the low. if i was you, i'll be all over him too" selena was leaning in closer to y/n on the other side of the table like she was keeping what she was saying a secret.

"ew, no ben is like my brother" y/n furrowed her eyebrows as she looked down at her phone playing off everything. the boys care back with snacks and drinks in their hands. the sounds of chips bags, candy and soda filled the silence in their inner circle. "the vending machine is back open" ron answered the girls question that was filling their minds. "they restocked with new stuff too. i got these for you" ben slid over the sour patch kids, pringle's and soda to y/n. "thanks" she replied with a small smile.

selena and alex looked at each other thinking the same thing. "so you guys want to hang out?" selena spoke up trying to hopefully trap ben and y/n in their little trick.

"sure when?" ben looked at the two girls. "tomorrow night? i just ordered a projector so maybe watch some movies in the backyard" alex said. "i can't, i'm helping my dad finish the garage" ben says looking down.

"and i have to babysit my neighbor's daughter" y/n says putting a chip in her mouth. selena raised her eyebrows at the two. "hm, well it's nothing new i didn't expect you guys to come anyways, because you both are oddly doing something" she says.

"well, i can't come either" ron spoke up. alex turned her attention towards her boyfriend quickly. "what?"

"i'm going to see my brother in college tomorrow"

ben and y/n fist bumped under the table. the thing is, they lied. all three of them. ben's dad wasn't going to start on his garage until next week because all the supplies he need hasn't come in yet. y/n's neighbors have been gone on a short vacation for two days already, and ron just wanted to play gta online all day when he got home and besides he was ben's wingman, he knew about him and y/n's little fling that was happening.
