"i thought when we were done with apocalypse, we would be done with every connection with him," scott says. "this including bringing his daughter back with us" he finishes. the crew watching the clueless girl walk around the school observing every inch around her. "you cannot judge the book by its cover," says professor. "just talk to her, show her around. make sure she feels apart of everything and comfortable. she's harmless" he concludes.

"she does not look harmless, i'm sorry, i'm scared" jean puts her hands up. "warren, you've met her. go talk to her" jean shoved him forwards a little. "yeah, for three seconds" he quickly says trying to avoid going up to her. he watched as mrs. harris gave her one of her homemade chocolate chip cookies. "go!" she shoves him again causing him to stumble while walking up to her.

"hi" he greets nervously. she jumped and turned around towards. "i'm sorry!" he apologizes quickly but accidentally raised his voice from her sudden action. "i didn't mean to scare you" he says. she just stared at him for a few seconds before looking away. "a uh cookie. they're good—should try them with ice cream"

"cookies and ice cream?" she questioned. "......oh! right you're from a whole other world ," he sucked in air through his teeth as it got awkward for him. "ice cream is this cold dessert, gives you brain freeze....not that you know what that is either..." he trailed off looking behind him at everyone else. xavier smiles at him urging him to go on. "okay," he whispered to himself and looking back at her. "so what's your name?"

"kikalou, but really it's y/n what's yours?" she spoke normally catching warren off guard. "you-you can speak normal. wait-" he tried to fix himself but she caught on.

"yeah, it's not cool to assume that cause i'm from a different place, that i'm unusual" she says watching his expression change into different ones. "see ya later" she walked off to her room. warren's jaw was hung as he looked back at everyone.

"what just happened?" peter asks. "see," Xavier start to say. "don't judge the cover"

warren walked out of his room to head to the vending machine, and at the same time y/n walked out of hers. he picked up his pace calling her name lightly to get her attention, she looked up from the book she had in her hand and behind her, following warren's movements of him getting beside her.

"hey," he breathed. "hi?" she raised an eyebrow. "i wanted to apologize about earlier, i didn't want to make you feel that way"

"alright....apology accepted" she ended the conversation and walked ahead of him going towards the library.

"i'm not that type of person you know?" he caught up to her again. "i didn't say you were...or assumed" she told him. "oh yeah but i mean...you could never know though so..."

"yeah...." she trailed off not knowing what to say. "so," he spoke up in the silence. "where are you heading?" he asked. "to the library?" she pointed behind her at the door. "right.." he laughed nervously. "i was going to the vending machine...to get a snack..." he tells her. she nodded with a tiny smile on her face. "do you want anything?"

"no thanks" she went inside the book filled room leaving him behind the glass door. "wow" he whispered to himself as he looked around thinking about what he said. "dude you suck" peters voice said behind him. "what? why are you out here?"

"you have no flirtation game at all," peter says causing warren look at him with confusion. "uhh okay" warren says walking off. "i can tell you're trying to get on her friend side but you're struggling bad. really bad" peter laughed as he followed his best friend to the snack machine, that was across the hall. "i'm doing what xavier said, and trying to get her comfortable"

"you're making her uncomfortable. try harder"

"she's neutral, she not interested in anything that's going on here. she's not interested in any of us-"

"slow your roll, she's not interested in you. i get it bird boy, you're good looking and girls flirt, well she's not, so stop trying"

".....why you have to be rude?"

"i'm not being rude, im saying the facts here. ask her to eat lunch with us tomorrow by the lake and then everything will go smoothly from there" peter says before he zoomed off back to his room, but the. came back to tell him one last thing. "don't mention me" he says lastly before heading back in time for when y/n came back out the library.

"y/n" he turned around. "you're still here. stalking me?" she joked but her voice was in still in its normal blunt monotone way so it made him think she was being serious. "no" he shook his head. "i was just waiting for you to come out"

"so stalking me"

"no-"

"i'm kidding with you" she chuckled playfully shoving his shoulder. "i.....i knew that" he tried to play it off but she shook her head not believing him. "no you didn't"
"yeah i didn't— i was waiting because i wanted to see if you wanted to eat lunch with my friends and i tomorrow? you don't have to, just asking because.."

"because i'm from a "whole other world" " she quoted his words. "come on," he sighed with a chuckle causing her to let out a laugh. "sure, i can have lunch with a boy with wings and his friends. but you couldn't come in and say that?"

"i didn't want to seem creepy, or stalker-ish as you might think" he joked. she rolled her eyes around with a sigh. "got me back," she referred to his implied words towards him stalking. "goodnight" she smiled talking steps back. "goodnight" he told her back. she went around the corner and after a few seconds he let out a breath he didn't know he was holding.

"you did better this time, nice improvement" peter's voice whisper neared him. "get out" warren groaned walking back to his room leaving peter in the hallway by himself. he shrugged and says,

"try to help someone and they just blow you off. very disrespectful"
