"—thank you for inviting me" y/n looks at bryson and his friends as they stood in line for the movies. "no problem. we just thought you needed sometime to clear your head after everything" bryson's friend, jenna, who she recently learned the name of( along with gabe) said. y/n looked at her friend. "you told them?" she mumbled as they stepped up to the ticket window. "they were pressuring me" he defended himself before putting his attention to the woman inside the booth. "four tickets to Zombieland"

they walked inside the theatre, jenna, gabe went inside the movie to find seats that'll fit everyone while y/n and bryson stayed behind to get the snacks. "we should've snuck some in instead" y/n out her hands in her pockets looking at bryson who agreed with her. "yeah, these are oddly high. four dollars for a small drink?" he sucked in air through his teeth looked at her. "i could get one for a dollar at sonic" he shook his head causing y/n to let out a laugh. other than her dad, bryson was the cheapest person she knew and now she understood why they got a long so well. he was just a good friend of her family. they never dated—y/n didn't plan or wanted to date. she tried to with a guy but she didn't have the feelings for him like she did with ben.
you would think a year would be enough time to take your mind off someone. not for her though. not ever since this morning when she talked to that mysterious man who caused her to feel like she was hallucinating.
you could say bryson was a small distraction for a while. he was just enough to get her mind off of ben for a little bit but not all the time.

"where does she live?" ___ asks. "i don't know if she still lives there but we can go see" ___ replies putting his hood on to block his face. "what you're just going to walk there? just take a car. it's been a few hours the police stopped searching"

"a few hours," ___ repeated his words. "it hasn't been twenty four and even if it has been they'll be watching on the low, they're not going to put themselves out with sirens everyday because it lets the runner know they're coming. so that means we have to lay low too" he began walking off again towards her studio apartment. "i hope she's still there because i need a shower...and a bed"

"why would you make yourself comfortable at someone's house?"

"no, not someone. y/n. she our friend, it'll be fine. she'll be fine. you know the saying su casa es mi casa. her home is our home too"

"dumbass it's the other way around: mi casa es su casa"

"not in this situation it's not"
