roger held y/n close as he placed kisses all over her neck, keeping his movements steady at a medium pace. she pulled his close; hugging him as she let out quiet moans in his ear. it was a stressful day for the both of them. the snow filling up the streets, not letting them drive to run errands for work, and having them being left with paperwork all hours a day, but luckily they both had an off day to be with each other and relax.
surely nothing could come in between them. or so they thought.

roger moved faster groaning as he was close to finishing off; let out profanities in the process. "fuck, you feel so good sandy"
he let out without thinking. he froze as his heart started to beat faster after hearing what he just said. y/n froze also looking at roger. "y/n-baby, love" roger quickly tried to correct himself in order to cover up the mistaken name he let out with the names he would usually call y/n in bed, but it didn't work. he pulled away from her as she raised up out of his hold putting her night gown back on.

"love, it was-"
"sandy?" she said heartbroken. sandy was his assistant, and you could say she caught the girl flirting with roger on many many occasions, but she knew roger wouldn't do anything with her, but that's what she believed before.
"it was an accident, i swear" roger walked over to her after putting his undergarments back on. he reached for her hand but she was quick to move it away from him as she left the bedroom heading downstairs.

"honey, i say her name almost everyday you know this. i've had a lot of stuff on my mind about the work with the band and i-"
his sentence was cut short by the guest bedroom slamming shut in his face. he twisted the door knob to see if he could go in but it was locked. sighing he leaned his head against the door.

"y/n please-" he heard sniffling on the other side. he frowned. he didn't want this to happen. especially since their two year anniversary was coming up soon.

"it would be different if you were working—i know how you mix up names when you're stressed, but for you to say her name in the moment of that.." she stopped talking. "it wasn't the first time, rog" she stated, her voice breaking a little as a tear slipped from her eye. roger looked down knowing she was right. he has done this a few times before but he stopped himself before he could let the name fully slip out. he didn't realize that y/n would catch his mistakes.

a tear slipped out his eye. knowing that he was breaking y/n. "rog..." she called. "yes, love" he replied. "what have you been doing...when you come home late?" she asked softly. roger stayed silent, closing his eyes as more tears came out. "did you do anything with her?" she pushed out another question. "y/n" he whispered. "please rog just tell me.."

it was silent for a few seconds on her end. giving her bad vibes that something did happen between them. roger but his lip as his heart raced before finally answering and saying.

"....it was one time" he confessed. y/n looked down at her hands before nodding, even though he couldn't see it, she was nodding to herself. she took a deep breath before letting out a small cry.

"it happened once. i didn't know what i was thinking and i've been regretting it ever since. i tried to forget it...i tried hard to but it would stop haunting me"

"clearly...you didn't try hard enough" she muttered. she looked down at her hand and took the ring off sliding it under the door. roger looked down at it, picking it up.

"no," he mumbled shaking his head at the thought of losing her. "no, y/n i'm sorry. i'm so sorry. slap me, do whatever you want but please don't leave me" he seen the light from inside the room turn off.

laying in the bed, she saw from under the door he didn't move a inch until a few minutes later when hearing a thud against the wall and a picture frame falling. she knew he punched the wall, and probably left a dent too but it could have been impossible since the walls were pretty hard and thick.
it took them both a while to fall asleep that night but eventually they did, without each other.

days and days passed and y/n rarely left the room, only when she knew his presence wasn't around. the roads were now clear of snow and roger would leave to go band rehearsals. she eventually seen where he punched the wall and she was right, there were two holes where his knuckles hit. she cleaned up the glasses from the picture that fell. it was a picture of them, her favorite to be exact. she kept the picture inside the frame, not bothering to switch it out for a new one, and set it on the table against the wall. when she knew it was time for roger to get back, she would go back inside the guest room and continue her drawings and paintings. but recently she's been feeling sick, every other morning she would throw up everything from the day before making her suspicious, so answer those suspicions she went to the nearest store and got a test.

as for roger, he fired his assistant they say after everything happened. he would hope to see her face in the morning when she's taking a shower, or when he got back and he could see her last minute before she went back into hiding. they haven't spoke to each other—well y/n hasn't spoke to him. he would tell her when he's leaving sometimes and when he made breakfast hoping to get a word from her. sometimes she'll mumble and ok, and other times it would just be silent. he hasn't even told the band members what happened between them, so when they ask how they were doing he would just saying that things were going fine.

it was their anniversary, not sure if it was an anniversary for them anymore.
roger lightly knocked on the door before softly speaking.

"hey, i know you hate me but happy anniversary...i know you didn't really plan for this day but it's okay, i promise...i got you something though. i'll just set it outside and you can get it whenever you want alright"

she heard his footsteps walk away. she unlocked the door grabbing his attention. she opened it a little watching him walk back over to her slowly. he was happy to see her face, he was never too excited to see something in his life. she handed him his gift that she had kept a secret for about a month. she picked hers up before closing the door back, his face falling back into a sad one.

"the guys are coming over for dinner, along with mary...can you join us? not for me but so you could see them?"

she stayed silent for a few seconds before answering. "sure" her small voice said.
