dang idk what part this is tbh 💀

me and warren wait until the halls were clear of students before sneaking outside, trying not to get caught.

"wait how are you going to get there without making a gigantic hole?" warren questioned as the stepped outside into the cool air.

"i know a different way, follow me" i headed towards the woods, having him follow but looked confused on what was in the woods.

they walked deep, close to the middle of the woods, spotting a set of stairs that leaded no where.

"we can use the stairs" i pointed and turned towards him. "the stairs? they lead no where"

"i can open a portal dingus" i chuckled. "using the stairs is just a quieter way to go back and forth" i grabbed his hands and headed up the stairs. the lead up to high grounds, at least ten feet.

"now drop" i told him nonchalantly. he shot his head towards me with a hard confused look as i stared at him plainly. he looked back down and then back at me again.

"actually, i forgot i had a test to study for" he tried to walk away. "watch your wings" i warned before pushing him and jumping after.

after getting into the other world, i watched warren jump up quickly dusting himself off. he looked around freezing his body at the objects that were around. i looked too with my mouth agape. laying around in random places were sexual things, like posters, handcuffs, etc.

"who's room is this?" he asked eventually after a few minutes. "michael's" i replied hurrying to leave out of it. "how do you know?" asked warren which i ignored.
walking down the halls in a rush, i passed by gabriel, another fallen angle.

"hey..oh wow! y/n what you doing here? how's the life up there? meet anyone new-" gabriel cheerfully greeted but looked over at warren with his finger pointed at him.

"why is he here?" he quickly asked, his demeanor changing once he seen warren's wings. "you know we can't have people like him here" he muttered glancing at warren.

"gabe" i gave him a stern look. "i can go back...if i knew a way out" warren said looking around the dark place. "no warren it's okay, but this is gabe and he going to enjoy having warren's presence here cause he's a good friend" i said looking at gabe the whole time giving him hints. he rolled his eyes. "and he's going to tell me where my father is, right?"

"watching the chamber, like always" gabe groaned trying to ignore the white wings he kept seeing from the corner of his eye.

after the encounter with gabe, we continued our small journey. once reaching the big black doors, i looked at warren. "you don't have to come in, you might be disturbed..you can stay out here, make friends with jessica. i referred to the woman at the front entrance desk.

"i never imagined hell to look like this" warren commented clearly being that was the only thing running through his head. "that's what they all say" i chuckled pushing the doors open.

"my beautiful daughter, you have come back from taking over i'm..sure" my fathers voice falter as he seen the boy behind me.

"y/n," he said using my name, which he never did. he was more a nickname person with me. so him hearing my actual name come out his mouth scared me a little.

"i like your home" warren tried to warm up to him. i hit his arm signally for him to stop his actions before going any further. "why is this boy in front of me" he tried to avoid the word 'angel'.

"well, i wanted to talk-"
"oh god it's hot" warren talked over me, pulling at the collar of his shirt. "oh what?" my father put his attention on warren. "nothing" warren stopped what he was doing and stood up straighter and i mentally face palmed myself.

he got up from his desk and slowly walked over to the other side of the room nodding his head towards that direction telling me to follow him.

"why do i get a non- bad feeling from you?"
i avoided eye contact as i tried to come up with something, but he kept pushing out more questions. "have you been doing what i've been telling you to do, y/n? are you not following my rules?-"

"no, i haven't! why because they're stupid! this is something you want to do. this is something that makes you happy but i don't like doing this and it doesn't make me happy. you want me to do this and that so it could 'prepare me' but really i'm doing your dirty work-"

i stopped my argument once i seen his eyes glow a bright orange. deciding not back down, i started right back him. giving him the strongest glare i could so i could overpower his but he still won.

"i knew it was a bad idea to come here" i rolled my eyes and walked away. "come on" i pulled warren along with me. "see you later" gabe waved as we left back.

i watched the portal close once we transported back. it sucked that everything didn't go as i wanted it to. but i should have known my father wasn't going to be listening to me anytime soon or for as long as he lives—which is never ending. i looked at warren who was already staring at me. "we can try again"
"we as in me. you were too scared to even glance at him" i scoffed and started my way back towards the school.

"i promise next time, i won't be" he followed closely after me.

a month later

a knock on the bedroom door brought me out of my daze from my book. i closed it and placed it on my desk before getting up to open it. michael stood there with something behind his back. me and him have come to a good ending as you might say. he doesn't make jokes about our relationship anymore and he's gotten over me—which is about time but i could tell from all of it he still had feelings but i made a compromise that we could still be friends. things just ended not a straight edge.

"yes?" i leaned against the door and swung myself back and forth. "message" michael held out a brown piece of envelope that was sealed with my father's initials. i grabbed it from him and thanked him. i went to close the door but stopped and looked at him as he was going down the hallway.

"hey" i called out.
he turned around at my voice and gave me his full attention. "there's going to be a school get together later, maybe you can come and hopefully find someone new" i put my hands together and waited for his response. "that'll be nice" he gave me a thumbs up with a smile. i returned the smile and went back in the bedroom.

"what is it?" warren's groggy voice filled my ear as he was starting to wake up from his nap. "it's a letter..from my dad" i pulled apart the seal and opened the letter.

dear, princess

sorry.

-your father

i began laughing as i looked at the paper. i felt warren looked over my shoulder. "wow..he even writes mean" he commented. i shook my still looking at the paper in my hands. "it's not mean. he's being sincere—he means it" a smile on my face as i admired it.
