FORTHINGTON, AVENUE

feet stomped down the dark alley as multiple men ran from the sirens that were following them. they split up taking left and right to meet up at their hiding spot. he hid behind a wall as the white cop car zooms past him clueless of where he was. he removes his mask letting out a breath he was holding and stuffs it inside his jacket. cautious, he continues to go to the car that was on the other side of the road, rushing to get inside with the others.

he gets in the passenger seat relaxing his body panting. "drive" he states. the radio comes on, it was the police scanner they had inside of the car.

"uhh 10-20- we're checking around homads street, see if there's anyone around"

"shit" he whispers as he stares blankly at the scanner he runs his hand through his hair. that's where the hideout was and with the police swarming it, they couldn't go back. "we can't go back to the house"
josh said from the back seat. you could say his job was stating the obvious.

"yeah no shit!" ben snapped at him which josh replied with his hands up in defeat and sat back in the seat. "i know where to go, we can just stay there for a while and bons can wait out in the car until it's clear"

TRUTHS 23 STREET

y/n let out a tired breath as she looked around her small area from behind the bar. she never liked working long shifts at the club but it's what pays her bills so there was no excuse of quitting her job.
she served every person who she has seen more than once, including the annoying perverts that flirted with her.

she looked towards the door, seeing a group of men walk in, barley noticeable due to their clothes being all black. she rolled her eyes as she seen more come in. a blonde came and sat in the chair looking around his surroundings like he was being watched.

"hi" he said simply. y/n rested both of her hands on top of the cold marble counter putting her weight on them. "hi" she greeted back waiting for him to tell her which drink he wanted. "i'm ben"
"i'm y/n" she raised her eyebrows at him as she seen that he was staring at her.
"are you going to order or..." she trailed off watching him start to stumble over his words.

"can i get a uhm- the tropical breeze"
she gave him a nod and turned around to grab the drink off the shelf. "i never seen you here" she gave him a small smile.

"is that bad?" he asked gently taking the drink out of her hands. "no, it's good to see new faces, cause after being here for a long time you start to recognize the people. especially the ones who flirt"

"oh, and how does your boyfriend feel about flirting?" ben always did this to girls to find out if they had a boyfriend or not, either way he would find a way to get her into bed.

"well, he's not a big fan of the 'random person flirting with me' situation and gets real jealous but it'll may be more effective if i had a boyfriend" she chuckled. "how about you clock out and lets go dance"

"and why should i do that with a stranger?"
ben looked away pretending to think about her question. "we're not strangers. i know your name, you know my name and-"

there was a sudden bang that came from the entrance. police started to swarm inside holding out their guns as people started to scream as gun shots began to fire and hitting some of the bottles on the shelf. ben hopped over the counter and ducked bringing y/n down with him. y/n looked at him and nodded her head over at the back door which the employees used to clock in and out.

they quickly ran towards it entering the back of the building, the blue and red lights immediately flashing their colors onto them.

"come with me" he rushed to the car pulling her with him not even letting her refuse. they got inside of the black car as the driver began to immediately speed off earning two cop cars to follow after.

"WHY ARE THERE COPS FOLLOWING?!" she frantically asked looking in the back window and at ben.

"i'm going to need you to relax" ben spoke calmly. "this is what i want you to do for me" he added on and snapped her head towards him.
"WHAT?! NO NO NO! what did i get myself into?! where did i go wrong?! are you a criminal- are you a murder?! no please don't kill me, okay i have a cat that needs feeding and i'm an artist and i really what to get my work out there but i can't do that if i'm dead-"

"i'm not going to kill you" ben cut off her rambling grabbing her shoulders which she smacked his hands off. "look they know that you're with me alright they saw me put you in this car. that makes you apart of this now-" he stopped talking when he heard her nervously laugh.

"everything is going to be fine" he added on.

"hehehehehe you're a..." she started to say but fainted.

"she fainted" josh said looking in the back seat. "yeah no shit!"

an hour passed as she started to wake up seeing everything in her vision delayed and was in an unknown place. she started to slowly raise up but was pushed back down by an unknown hand. that's when she started to panic again. her vision starting to become clear.

she scanned the men who were surrounding her. "why is his shirt off?" was the first thing that left her lips. it was henry, the cocky one of the group. "you like what you see don't you?" he winked at her.

"uhh, i guess?"

"see i knew she'd like it" he mutter to a guy beside her. "she said she guess. that doesn't mean she actually liked it"

"she guess" henry mocked him. ben pushed between the two guys carelessly and kneeled in front of y/n telling the others to leave.

"how's your night, y/n?" he asked. "crazy" she replies pulling her legs up to her chest and hugging them. "yeah, and i'm sorry about that. it wasn't my plan to pull you into all of this"

"can i leave?"
after every little thing that just happened, she knew only little and that was ben was caught up in the law and he's being haunted, which is not her cup of tea and she didn't want to be involved in something she didn't know about or did.

"that's the thing. you can't, and here's why. no, i'm not kidnapping you, but i will say that you are gorgeous and you said there were people flirting with you and those people happened to be at the bar tonight and they will be questioned by cops asking who you are because they saw me pull you in my car.." by now he was pacing back and forth in front of her which was making her more nervous that she already was.

"you wouldn't want to be called into the station would you?" he questioned. his face serious and his eyes were hard. to y/n he was very intimidating. she looked away from him.

"i-i can just lie" she glanced at him. "lie to me about something, right now" he kneeled back down to her again.

"i-i was very popular in high school" she avoided eye contact with him. "that's a lie"
"yeah, i was kind of a bitch to say at least"

"you look away when you lie and they'll catch on to that. here's what i what you to do for me. you stay here, and you don't tell anyone about this, not even your little 'girlfriends' that you just have to tell the latest gossip about alright? if you leave you'll be in big danger, got it?"

she stayed silent playing with her hands but he took that as a yes. "what about my cat?" she asked. he sighed. "we'll get the freaking cat"
