^ don't ask -_-

y/n woke up in a bed. but an unknown bed. she didn't see her usual black sheets like she did every morning, these were white so she knew she wasn't home. she raised up looking around seeing her paint bottles and brushes along with her canvases sprawled around the room. she furrowed her eyebrows in confusion as her cat jumped onto the bed with her.

"no, this is not it" she said getting out of the bed.
while she was awake up stairs, ben was downstairs unknown of her awoken presence with the rest of the guys.

"—i think we all know why ben kept her" robert teased while taking a bite out his toast with a smile on his face. "tell us the truth" nick, robert's best friend, also joined in the tease.
"here's a hint. 'ohh ben'" he pretended to moan as nick hit the table imitating a headboard as he silently uncontrollably laughed.
ben let out a annoyed sigh as he looked away from them. "y'all are clowns" josh said throwing a piece of scrambled egg at them. suddenly, there was loud noise that came from upstairs.

"is she awake?" henry asked them. they shrugged their shoulders as ben rushed up stairs to the room she was in- which was his room but he slept in the guest room last night. sneaking up the stairs, thinking someone could have broke in, he stood beside the door before busing it open.

y/n quickly picked up hobs, her cat, frightened by ben who unexpectedly stood there. "i'm sorry, if i scared you or something" she apologized. ben relaxed his body letting a breath. "my cat just knocked over the canvas stand" she explained walking over to it and picking it back up. ben watched her and leaned against the door.

"sleep well?" he asked. "oh....yeah i did- when did you get my things?"

"oh, it was after you fell asleep last night. i just thought that since i was already there, i got your other things too like your painting equipment, clothes, shoes- but it's not like you're going to be going anywhere-"

"bold of you to assume that i'm staying here any long, so it would kind of you to take my things back" she gave him a sarcastic smile.

"don't want to stay?" he teasingly asked. "oh sure why not. who else loves to be kidnapped and held hostage, not like you would go through any of that" she muttered the last sentence.

"bold of you to assume that i've never been held hostage" he replied shooting back her sentence.

"i can't leave? like at all?"
"we went over this last night," he reminds her. she crossed her arms and sat on the bed. "but.." he trailed off grabbing her attention. "maybe we can go out at some point. i mean how would i be able to take you out on a date"
she chuckled. "what's so funny?" a smirk forming on his face. "take me out on a date? that just you saying 'sorry for bringing you with me on this journey of being a felony, please accept my apology'" she said in a fake happy voice.

"well since you want to tease, we can go out tonight"

"hahahahaha" she laughed but dropped her face back down to a serious one. "funny, does this face look like it wants to be chased by police again? no it doesn't"

"seven, tonight" he pushed himself off the door frame and walked over to her. "i already picked your dress" he said taking slow, lingering steps towards her. "dress? i don't own a dress-"
"i know...which is why i bought one for you" with that he walked out of the room.

"by the way," he turned back around. "there's breakfast downstairs if you're hungry" he turned back around continuing his walk with y/n following behind.

"—she didn't even come into work today, now i have to take double shifts. whoever that guy who took her needs to bring her back because no one want to do this shit. i'm here for a whole day, but i don't mind, i get paid her money now" katie, y/n'a co-worker said on tv. there was a news broadcast in about last night. they were taking interviews from witnesses.
