KATNISS

First, it begins with just a tear, then, it becomes a waterfall of joyfulness! As Peeta is carrying me, he knocks the door and opens it.

"Hello? Is anyone there?" he asks.

I yell, "Hello?"

I wait patiently, and finally hear, "Yes, this is Dr Nicola Haughey. Please do come in." She speaks like a posh, British person.

As Peeta carries me and we enter, I see a little bit of light. Not much though.

"Hello Mr Mellark, and Miss Everdeen!" she says.

"Uum, it's Mr and Mrs Mellark," we correct her.

"Oh right, yes yes. I see, it is your wedding! Of course, how could I forget?" we stare at her as if she's talking to herself.

"Happy Wedding!" she exclaims.

"Thank you," I say.

She asks, "Now what is you problem?"

"Well, my wife was blinded by flash photography, and can only see a slight bit of light." Peeta explains anxiously.

"Oh, oh dear! Well, Katniss, come sit here," the Doctor says.

Peeta holds my hand and leads me to the seat, and I slowly relax.

"You will have a test in just a moment," she says. What does she mean?

PEETA

Dr Haughey and I walk outside quietly. Uh oh, it could be bad...

She whispers, "Your wife won't just have a little test, she'll have examinations to see whether she'll meed surgery or not. And to see if she is prepared for it."

"Okay," I say softly.

"Please do not tell Katniss, I am not a heart breaker!"

"OK."

We walk back in and see Katniss, waiting patiently. I wish this never happened.

KATNISS

"Katniss darling, I am going to ask your husband to leave, is that okay?" she says. I have a bad feelig about this.

"But why? Why wouldn't you want Peeta here with me?!" I ask, almost shout.

"Because that way it is more private," she answers, with slight hesitation.

"My husband is NOT pervy and does NOT deserve to be treated this way. Peeta, you can stay,"

"All right, all right. Don't loose your pants! Lay back a bit."

I lean back slightly.
