I wake up to hear Annie, Haymitch and Peeta all chuckling while I'm still snoozing, resting on Peeta's chest.
"Morning Peeta, " I say, while stretching. What a surprise, they're still sniggering.
"Y'know, I prefer to wake up to a pleasant sound, not my friends and husband laughing hysterically whilst I'm still snooring my head off. This is my house!!" I cry.
"Oh," Annie says, looking down, towards the floor with a guilty look on her face, "sorry Kat,"
Haymitch says, "Calm down sweetheart." Not long after, I find him sniggering. At that point, I rolled my eyes.
"Well, looks like someone's not a morning person," he purposely whispers loudly to Peeta and Annie.
Typical Haymitch, always filled with humor and looking for a laugh, but I know he didn't mean it.
Then, I raise my head and turn to Peeta, who's gazing into my seam, green eyes.
"I'm sorry, bug. You know I didn't mean it Little Duck," Peeta says, winking at me. I smile back, and softly kiss his cheek.
"Urgh!" Haymitch yells. Everyone turns and stares at him, as he throws his hand on his mouth. I whisper, "He must be...um...drunk,"
"Yeah, pretty much," Annie states.
"So, what d'ya wanna eat?" I ask, gesturing to the kitchen.
"Uh, anything really," they say in unison.
"Oh! I've just realized! I can't stay for long! It's a meeting, bye," Haymitch suddenly runs off. Thought I wasn't able to reply before he slammed the door, "Bye!"
"Oh...kay..." I murmur to myself. Peeta heard and so he giggled slightly. I glare at him, pushing him a bit.
I ask, "So, breakfast anyone?"
"Um, I don't mind," said Annie. "But I enjoy eating anything but toast, ANYTHING BUT TOAST,"
" 'kay, so Annie wants anything, baring in mind she doesn't like toast. Peeta?"
"Oh, I've had breakfast," he says.
"Already?!" I squeel, making him feel a bit out of place - in other words; awkward.
Annie and Peera both stare at me, making me blush. My face is red-er than ever! So much more pinky-red, even a blood stain or tomato wouldn't be as bright or red.
~after breakfast~
"Thanks again for the breakfast!" says Annie.
"No problem, bye Annie," I reply.
"Bye," As soon as the door shuts, Peeta and I go straight into a kiss.
"I've been craving for some Katniss time!" he says. I tried not to laugh during the kiss, you only make that mistake once...
This one is much more flavoured and sour than usual. Normally, his lips taste calm and relieved. Now it's spiritful, and spicy! But that's what makes Peeta spontanious and passionate.
"You know, I enjoy these kisses more than anything." I tell Peeta, whilst glaring into his eyes as we release and step back.
"I wish they could last forever," Peeta replies, "Only because I love these kisses, but most importantly, I love you, Litte Duck," Yup, that's right, he still gives me the nickname I gave her.
"I love you too, Peeta..."
