Chapter 5: To the Island of True Fire!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As Blaise swam the best he could, five Deep Sharks swam quickly towards him. Panicking, Blaise stopped swimming and tried to balance himself in the water.

The five Deep Sharks surrounded him and prevented him from escaping. They circled around him, staring at him to intimidate him. Blaise was scared of their intimidating stares and felt himself trembling. Their deep, black eyes were terrifying and their sharp teeth were dirty with brown stains.

"What if I die..." Blaise thought, clutching onto his yellow scarf.

The Deep Sharks snickered at the boy. Oh, how the boy looked terrified of them. They, the predator, and him, the prey.

"Blaise, be strong for me and him."

A ghostly pale hand gently touched Blaise. Blaise shivered from the touch but felt bravery building within him. Whatever that voice said to him, he quietly thanked the voice for helping him. He didn't care who that voice belonged to at the moment, but all he would remember from it was a gentle, feminine voice.

Blaise looked at the five Deep Sharks who stopped circling around him. "What do I do? If I escape, they'll kill me since I can't swim well. If I say, they'll eat me. I don't know what to do..."

One of the Deep Sharks in front of him swam towards him at a quick speed with its mouth wide open. Blaise, from panic to instinct mode, quickly punched the Deep Shark from its left eye. The Deep Shark that was about to attack Blaise swam back, grunting in pain of its left eye.

Two of the Deep Sharks behind Blaise from both sides swam towards Blaise. Blaise turned around and ducked below them, allowing the two Deep Sharks to swim above him. Once they did, Blaise immediately reached out for their tails. The two Deep Sharks gasped in surprise and began wagging their tail to remove Blaise's grip on their tails.

Blaise smirked, glad to have the upper hand. The Deep Shark that was on Blaise's right side swam towards Blaise. Blaise noticed easily and swung both Deep Sharks he held onto towards the Deep Shark swimming towards him. The Deep Shark on the left side of Blaise's grip opened his mouth and accidentally bit his own kind.

The Deep Shark on the right side of Blaise growled in anger of the once scared prey they had become a confident predator. In anger, the Deep Shark swam towards Blaise.

Suddenly, a blur of red came in and stopped the Deep Shark from attacking Blaise. Blaise's ruby-red eyes widened before his gaze softened.

"Tch, you need to be more aware of your sssuroundingssss, Guardian Hayessss." Autumn scolded.

Blaise chuckled and replied, "Thought I was gonna die there, but you saved me, right? That's what matters."

Autumn hummed in reply before biting the Deep Shark. The Deep Shark whose left eye was wounded swam over to Autumn. Autumn made sure to suck the blood out of the Deep Shark till death before removing himself off of the Deep Shark corpse.

"Why did you kill it?!" Blaise shouted.

"Guardian Hayessss, we had no other option other than killing them," Autumn sighed, "Both you and Z are too sssoft."

Autumn then wrapped his body around the left-eyed wounded Deep Shark that attempted to attack him. Once he completely wrapped his body around the Deep Shark, Autumn bit into the Deep Shark's flesh.
